Hey Kafka, I liked your post and thought the last bit was funny. People need to have a sense of humor, I can't believe anyone believed that was true. Anyway, if Noel is stockpiling all these anthems I hope Liam will still be able to sing them by the time they start recording. He's starting to struggle on some of those real loud ones, though Lyla sounds great.

I reckon he'll probably put Solve My Mystery on an album. And Carry Us All was going to be on SOTSOG at one time too, wasn't it? It should've been on there, it was great.

Hello All,
I also enjoyed the "ESSAY" wriiten by yet another LOYAL forum member.
I don't have much to add . . . just that, whether or not NOEL stock-piles songs or not SHOULDN'T MATTER. What he chooses to save or not save is only up to Noel . . . seriously, we have trusted him and adored him this far . . . do you think he'll lead us astray?
No way. I don't care what he saves or doesn't save . . . I love Oasis for what they DO and DO NOT put on an album. SOTSOG was one big HOLD BACK if you ask me . . . a time for them to just "put something out" in order to charge batteries. Don't get me wrong . . . WHO FEELS LOVE, GAS PANIC, and even ROLL IT OVER are some of Oasis' most musically intelligent songs but, when you hear HEATHEN CHEMISTRY and even DONT BELIEVE THE TRUTH, you can CLEARLY see that it may (as in . . Possibly) . . been a filler.
Either way . . . . if Noel has surprises up his sleeve, GOOD. I don't care if STOP THE CLOCKS is the GREATEST song written in 20 years . . . . when it reaches my ears finally, I'll be happy. Just like I was happy when I finally heard ALL AROUND THE WORLD . . . just when I finally heard STOP CRYING YOUR HEART OUT . . . and even when I finally heard MASTERPLAN years ago.
At the end of the day . . . what we hear is what we love, right? . . so whether we hear it today, tomorrow, live, or in 10 years . . . it'll be worth it.
Love Oasis . . . as they Live Forever.

Pearl Jam do this also. There were tracks they wrote for 1994s Vitalogy that didn't fit with its psychadelic feel, so they stockpiled them whilst they wen't in a new direction as they had just replaced their drummer. People stole the demos like they did with Stop the Clocks and the tracks 'Fatal, Letter to the Dead & Light Years' were released on some infamous bootleg. When that new drummer left in 1998, they reworked the outtake tracks, and one made it onto the 2000 album Binaural, Light Years. Fatal and Letter to the Dead were released on 2003's Lost Dogs, a b-side collection, with Letter to the Dead renamed Sad. The booklet calls them 'Binaural outtakes' but they are originally much older.
Ocean Colour Scene do it too, their single that was released this March 'Free My Name' is apparently a song Fowler played around with before they found it fitted with the sound of this year's 'Hyperactive Workout for the Flying Squad.' They also have a song called 'Traveller's Tune' which came out on 1997's 'Marchin' Already', but originally featured as a b-side to a limited edition acoustic single of 'The Day We Caught the Train.'
On a side note, Shout it out Loud is such a cool tune I can't believe it wasn't on Heathen Chemitsry. Probably made way for something sucky like Songbird.
This post must've really bored the pants off everyone.

Just also want to point out that the b-sides to recent songs have not been written by noel for this album even though he said he had written 30 new songs (bbc radio 1 interview)... I think were about to witness the next chapter to oasis when the next album comes.
