Just realized this album has just been released. Haven't listened to it yet, but soon. Top band, I'm expecting good things.
Where's Moggles? He likes LC! too....

Welcome back! I'll check them out after work. I love hearing new (to me) music. How did you like The Dig who opened for BDI?

pretty great album from the gang. The Black Bird, The Dark Slope is one of my favorite tracks of the year. It's a solid album all the way through. This band is just a ton of fun. Not life changing but the lyrics are superb and love the chaotic instrumentation backing them. Even though they are "twee" they rock a lot harder than some other bands.

There's something inherently catchy in all of their songs. It's amazing how he's so consistent.
I didn't love the album on first listen like I did with the others. I know Romance Is Boring got mixed reviews, but I really liked that one.
But after several listens, Hello Sadness is brilliant.
By Your Hand, Hello Sadness, Every Defeat, To Tundra, Baby I Got the Death Rattle......
I also like Hate for the Island, but wish it was longer - it could have been another Knee Deep at ATP if developed further. But it's still very good lyrically and yet again catchy - seriously, how the hell does he do it?
Really love this band. Probably my favorite band of recent times.

I think Alex Turner is vastly over rated, which makes the likes of Gareth vastly under looked. I know they have different writing styles, but I prefer Gareth's. It's much more unique and deeper.

They're playing in DC on Saturday. Didn't realize it until it was too late - sold out I saw them in 2010, though. Fantastic gig, they are great live. Great band, and so very under appreciated. To Tundra is one of my favorites off the new album. Gareth over Alex any day. Stunning:
