For those who have taken their wives or husbands, girlfriends, or boyfriends to a gig (who are not fans of oasis) what were their reactions to the shows.
After taking my wife to both shows, I feel like next time both acts come around I will be dragging my wife to Beady Eye but we will be going together to see Noel. My wife definitely appreciated the Noel show more.
I love Beady Eye but I would actually have to agree that Noel's show offered more.
While I respect Beady Eye for not playing Oasis, and Noel's HFB songs were received well, those who suggested Noel shouldn't play Oasis were wrong.
I saw the Boston show and it was a real amazing show and the oasis songs were a major bonus. Noel's music and his relation to the crowd is more appealing to non fans. My wife liked how Noel was trying to be a matchmaker with some fans.
Amazing show.

well of course, Noel softer approach is more suited to those type of audiences, especially if the gal is older. How old is your wife btw? Beady Eye is a rock N roll band on the other hand. Having said that, from what i've seen there are quite a few cute chicks at bdi gigs, while NGFHB's gig are sausage fests for the most part. very old sausages i might add lol

It really is hard for me to admit this as it was Liam who captivated me when I heard Live Forever and Champagne Supernova, he's my all time favorite singer, I love Beady Eye and I think the album is getting unfairly criticized after the fact but..... Noel's show was much better. I've been to 5 Oasis gigs, 1 Beady Eye, and 1 Noel gig. The Noel gig was the best, the Beady Eye one was the least (although still really enjoyed it). My wife didn't really enjoy the Oasis or Beady Eye Gig but she was very pleasantly surprised with how much she enjoyed Noel's show.

I don't agree that Noel's gigs are full of old dudes with only a few older women to break it up from the audience that I was surrounded by in Toronto. There were plenty of women and men in their 20's. It was actually really wide in demographic...wider than I am used to rock gigs having. And despite the criticisms of Noel's album being softer...his live show is definitely a rock show. Both BDI and Noel will have audiences' moreheavily weighted towards the males. And despite what any footage has suggested to you...I would really doubt that at this point their audiences really have significantly different demographics.

^^At the Toronto gig, I saw some real happy guys singing along and disinterested girlfriends around me lol. But it is true, there is a pretty wide demographic at the shows. I saw some older folk too.

The people at Noel's shows are all over the map, but I saw plenty of women at all 3 gigs I went to. His show is louder than I expected given the tracks on the album. I would imagine BDI's show is fairly similar considering they don't really have any faster tempo rock songs outside of 4LW and SOTEOTN. This idea that they put on such a badass rock show compared to Noel seems a bit weird. They don't seem to have the songs for that yet.

I've seen two Noel gigs so far, one which I brought my girlfriend. It's obvious she enjoyed Noels album alot more than Beady Eye. I listened alot to DGSS when it was released, the same with HFB. She says she never learned a single Beady Eye song or couldn't name them. But with Noel she remembers the words and really enjoys the songs (she mostly listens to radio so Oasis is very uncommon, she only knew Wonderwall before) and she thought the gig was great. It seems like Noels songs are alot more accessible and easier for casual listeners.

Beady Eye are hardly Rock and Roll in the sence of Oasis were in 94. Most of the songs on the album are mid pased and the ''rock'' ones except FTW are the worst.

Every chick that i know prefers Noel to Liam, i don't want to get into a vs debate as it seems to rub people up the wrong way, just weighing in on this topic, my facebook feed went crazy the night Noel appeared on Jonathan Ross from women saying things like, "wow, how charming is Noel gallagher" "never liked Oasis but NG's new song is brilliant" and "off to buy NG's album tomorrow, he's so entertaining"
Definitely different styles of gigs sure, but to say Noel's are full of old men is incorrect, and for the record his renditions of wonderwall and supersonic are spellbinding........on the subject of Oasis tunes.
I enjoyed my BDI gig by the way.

Plenty of women at Noel's Boston show, in fact I'd say it was almost a 60/40 split between men and women.
