That line “Trying to walk in my shoes/But they don't belong to you” in “Everybody’s on the Run” seems a bit off and a bit forced. Doesn't fuckin' seem to flow well at all. You know what I mean? Brings the fuckin’ song down a notch, to be quite honest.

Well no it doesn't; it's one of the best, most clever lyrics in the song and what you said isn't even the correct lyric anyway.
I take it that you're not British and you're not aware of the saying.

What? I'm not aware of the saying?....The fuck are you on about!? Right, any fucker who talk about a lyric being clever without taking into account its musical complement is-- how should I say this-- a gushing neophytic tick, right. Shut it, you Union Jackey. "I take it that you're not British..." Ha, prick.

Ha, of course any plausible criticism is obvious trolling-- let alone some quasi-plausible shit. What animals.

I like the lyric a lot, plus "...y'know they don't." Everytime I hear it, I picture some black chick from an R&B group wagging her index finger at the camera. Sassy.

The shoes line is all right. It's the "beating heart" verse that makes me cringe.

I quite like all the lyrics to be honest. Its the production if anything that nearly makes it cringe worthy. Still Noel's best song for quite a few years imo.

It is not the worst line in the song by a long way. But i agree some of the song sounds a bit off. Another example of a song that suffers because of a leak. You listen to it expecting to hear what you have had in your head for years and then it's different. Some of the song seems a bit too fast though and almost as if he is just placing his vocals on a backing track. No where near the disaster of Record Machine's production though.

By the way weren't you in London for a gig a couple of weeks ago when I asked you out for a fight and you backed down and flew back home with your tail between your legs?
Funny how youre giving it the big un now you're back in the land of the oppressed and mentally retarded.

It fits fine. Enough of this Tom Foolery.
Also, it's Noel doing what he does best - twisting sayings around.
He's twisting this saying around:
'Walk a mile in my shoes' This idiom means that you should try to understand someone before criticising them

I couldn't give a shit about that. It still doesn't sound right, like, the flow of the song and how he said that line isn't quite right. Okay....if you want context, okay, it's like he lost a particular rhythm when sayin' said line. Like the fuckin' iambic pentameter was fuckin' off-kilter when the line was said/sung.
