Go to the HFB Sound & vision page, its there until Massey Hall, Toronto Nov 7th 2011. If we're both thinking of the same song that is.

It sounds a bit too familiar to be honest. He's just rearranged the same old chords and rhymes. Full On springs to mind; "alright/tonight".
I'll give it a second chance when he's finished it.

You'd think Noel knows people are recording those things by now From what I hear it sounds pretty good...

More likely to be Don't Stop Being Happy or If There's a God.

has a bit of those "Whatever" chords in the documentary acoustic instrumental. I feel it's the same song.

He described that as sounding like Hello with a 50 piece choir. And could have been a first album single (which implies upbeat to me if it was released under Oasis): oasisinfo.wikidot.com/come-on-it-s-alrightI know this is just an acoustic version, but with the sad lyrics about winter and wanting to cry, it makes me think it's a different song.

Very close to If I Had A Gun. But someone needs to pull him to one side and stop him trying out new songs in public soundchecks.

He said in a recent interview that he wrote a great song in the same vein of If i had a gun at the end of the sessions for the album, but he decided the album didn´t need it. Could be this one.
Looks like the new soundchek leak was imminent hours ago

Very close to If I Had A Gun. But someone needs to pull him to one side and stop him trying out new songs in public soundchecks. There was a time when Oasis wouldn't play new songs live because of them going on the web (can't find the interview now, but that's almost exactly what Noel said) I think that since STCs and RM leaked, and then all the soundcheck songs leaked, BUT Noel's album still sold by the bucket load, he's realised it doesn't effect sales and so he doesn't care. Hence us getting this and Freaky Teeth. Also working on new songs and playing covers at soundchecks breaks things up a bit for him, when the band are playing the same rehearsed set every day. Didn't he say playing an acoustic in an empty venue makes you feel like Jesus or something??

Hence us getting this and Freaky Teeth. Yeah but does Noel really want another set of new songs on the Internet years before their possible release? I didn't mind the last bunch being online as I honestly didn't expect them all to be released - it eventually turned out they all have been bar Don't Stop The Happening. I know we all have a choice to download them and potentially spoil any future records for ourselves, but I'm surprised Noel is still so carefree about trying out new material in soundchecks. Or maybe he just forgets they're so easy to record and be bootlegged these days. The guy's got his entire back catalogue plus the entire history of recorded music to fall back on. Anyway, seeing as we're here, lyrics. Lots of gaps as he sings quieter and/or the sound quality gets worse. ...to get there ......for the bus fare The storm that's rolling over And it makes me wanna die ...against my shoulder ...in the winter Seems to last forever And it makes me wanna, makes me wanna Cry the... The streets were paved with gold You know time is getting old... It's alright, dance with me tonight Find the... And I'm trying my best to get there ....for the bus fare The storm that's rolling over And it makes me wanna cry And I'm... The streets are paved with gold You know time is getting old... It's alright, dance with me tonight Find the... ...against my shoulder ...in the winter And it makes me wanna cry ...against my shoulder And seems to last forever And it makes me wanna, makes me wanna cry

He clearly doesn't care Mate, I don't know what you do as your job, but imagine constantly going over the same project you did when you were in your early twenties! The fact is, working on a new song is going to be more fun for him than playing roll with it again.

Deadman, here're some additions to your lyrics:
...to get there but I can't afford the bus fare The storm that's rolling over And it makes me wanna die
...against my shoulder The cold fog in the winter Seems to last forever And it makes me wanna, makes me wanna
Cry the... The streets were paved with gold You know time is getting old... It's alright, dance with me tonight We'll find the...

...against my shoulder The cold fog in the winter And it makes me wanna cry ...against my shoulder And seems to last forever And it makes me wanna, makes me wanna cry[/quote]

Going to try and avoid this one. Managed to keep away from album preview clips after hearing the soundchecks and demos for IIHAG, EOTR, RM and STC...perhaps I'll be able to abstain and get (mostly) new music if and when this does come out officially.

I think this sounds decent. The soundcheck leaks always sound so raw and new and by the time they are released, like with If I Had a Gun, something seems to have gotten lost along the way.

Haven't listened to anything new yet. I'm considering not listening at all. Be nice to have not heard any new tunes by the time the next album comes around.
