After Oasis is all done with recording their own songs, don't you think Noel is going to be one of the greatest producers of all time, in terms of pop/rock/alternative music? He's got it all down to a science and could leave quite the legacy like other once-famous recording artists like Dr. Dre who spend all their time producing other rappers...

Noel as the "Dr Dre of Britpop"?
Interesting idea, but I don't think Noel has proven himself much of a producer. He has co-production credits on some Oasis albums, I think, but I don't think that means much, beyond him sitting in the control booth when Owen Morris or whoever was flicking switches and pushing buttons and messing with faders. Then there's Heathen Chemistry, where the production was pretty meat-and-potatoes, and frankly a little dull in places. After that, what have you got? Proud Mary? Basically, I think as a producer (and also as a band leader and songwriter, sometimes), Noel's problem is/would be the "good enough" syndrome — he would give decent but otherwise unremarkable songs a pass, because, well, they've got a nice riff here, and a decent melody, and here's the chorus, so okay, sounds like a song, good enough. Next.
What should Noel do after Oasis? Or maybe we should say, what should Noel do in the years between the final Oasis album and the inevitable big-buck reunion tour? I would love for Noel to become a hermit, just disappear to his mansion in Spain or whereever to collect royalties and issue cryptic statements to music journalists who track him down. But in reality, he's going to make a mediocre solo album or two, produce an album or two for his mates, and probably participate in one of those "superband" type projects that are never half as good as they sound on paper.
Liam, meanwhile, will take years to finish his one solo album, and gain a lot of weight.

NG is one of the greates and most underrated songwriters but IMO he is not a good producer. I think some of the credit for this latest masterpiece must go to the Producer..

Two words: OWEN MORRIS!!!
Get the big taffy back for album #7!!
It was Owen's input that made DM and MG sound so fantastic, production-wise. When they got to BHN Noel started reverting to his old habits of layering tons of guitars on to the tracks, and Owen didn't have the power to stop him.

It seemed like Owen loves to just make everything whicked loud torward the end. It works really well for Be Here Now and a Northern Soul though.
Some say overproduced, but both are fantastic albums.

Noel as producer - don't think so.
Chances are they will work with Sardi or what ever his name is again. I would love to see Owen back again!
