What gig have you been listening to? He sounds quite good to me, even on the harder songs (DO,IIHAG, TDOYAM, WAL). Liam is about 10 years away from a vocal performance of that quality! It's especially easy to hear on the Oasis songs he played regularly in the last decade (DLBIA, Wonderwall, HTWA). They sound just as good as always.

he sounded as good as on the last tour. and he doesn't get any younger, so it's not that easy to hold every note in his age

"He didn't had green tea the night before and he can't sing without it"? Noel is not old and not an old singer at all, as he was singing lead 4-5 songs a show for the last 20 years. I think he was really good yesterday, and he seems really confident which is nice, I'm looking forward to see him live, but he's not and never was an amazing singer, I haven't heard one really good version of TDOYAM in which he reached the highs notes perfectly so far...

I don't see why people are suddenly worrying about his voice. Suppose us Oasis fans have had to put up with vocal worries for years so I can see where the suspicion comes from.

Liam's voice was such a point of concern that at the slightest strain people start freaking out. IT'S LIAM ALL OVER. THE GALLAGHERS ARE CURSED

Yeah, it was probably a bit rough in the first songs, but it was absolutely normal. It sounded top TBH. And by the way the mix was shite and his voice was so loud that it's normal that every little things got noticed.

I think he was definitely shouting last night, still good but he was a million times better at Manchester!

I have no idea what you people are listening to--I was preparing myself for a Liam at the Brit awards performance. Sounded great to me, although I have not listened to IGTBF or MF yet.

Judging by the Cabaret Sauvage performance in 2006... That's right.

but noel smoked, drank and did hard drugs thru the first half of oasis, and his voice sounded fine back then Erm, no it didn't. Noel wasn't a good singer until SOTSOG at the earliest. He had finally stopped shouting through his coked up nose. He didn't nail dynamics though until DBTT, that's when he became great. He learned to let the amplification project his vocal rather than trying to reach the back of arenas on his own.

when i heard IIHAG i was like... the dude's all over the place, way off key at times but overall it was still decent. You can tell that he struggles every now and again with the falsettos but whatever... it is still good imo.

You can tell when someone who knows nothing about music starts talking on this board. It's almost as if there's a checklist of words you must use.
