Just got back from tonight's gig, AKA What a fucking Genius. Really was a fantastic night, Noel was on top form! He swapped DLBIA and LBL which I think was for the best, you really cant beat DLBIA as a closer. What was so impressive was that the new songs stand up to the old ones, after Broken arrow someone turned to me and said 'was that off the new album? that was fucking amazing.' What a Life live is in a different league to the album version in my opinion, really nailed it. Up there with the best times i've seen Noel for sure, with Oasis or at TCT. fucking great night, cant wait till the next one.

also kudos to the sound engineers. Was a great suprise to still be able to hear Noel during supersonic and wonderwall over the drunken slurs of the crowd. Not that I mind a sing along, but it's great that you could still hear him as well as the crowd.

Has he played "supersonic" like the album version yet? Or only supersonic?

Just back now and it was fucking brilliant.
Noel is a genius and his banter with the crowd was top; like when he offered a demo tape to someone for a tenner and clocked that someone at the front was smoking weed.
If anyone else saw a lad at the front on someone's shoulders for Supersonic and Little by Little that was me.

Folks were ok, saw them last week supporting Miles Kane and was unimpressed but tonight they were far better. I have to say their frontman puts me off a lot as I think he comes across as a bit of a dick. Supersonic was acoustic and fucking great! makes it sound so epic and the chorus sing along nearly took the roof off the venue

I was there too - it was fucking great! All that stuff about Noel being awkward as a frontman now looks like bullshiit. He absolutely smashed it Also, I haven't watched the videos so don't know if this is new, but in Mucky Fingers he sang: 'And all your brothers and sisters have gone and they won't come back - LIKE ME!'

Quality night though had a bunch of italians next to me singing life in vane, gave me to freedom to sing at the top of my lungs to every song! P.S if anyone heard someone shouting for slide away that was me.

I wish I had, I would have joined you! I had people next to me shouting all sorts of things, from "Jason!" everytime he came on stage for the guitar change, to Come on feel the noize and "Where's Liaaaaaam!"... I think Noel and the band in general are getting better at every gig. I can tell the chemistry is growing and Noel was a true frontman at the Roundhouse. Russell is taking backing vocals (and having fun) more and more seriously The Folks were OK, I also saw them at the Miles Kane gig, I liked some of their songs. Noel sat on the side of the stage during their set and listened carefully.

People were shouting Jason because Jason Statham was at the gig.
We were all lining up for the toilet and he walked past. He was on the balcony!

So LBL isnt the closer anymore? Too bad, I kind of liked it there. It's less predictable. At least he's still playing it though.

Didn't see statham, would have of course don't the monk on him!, my missus needed the toilet during half the world away so I spent the encore right next to the toilets instead of 3rd row which is where we were... And she wondered why I was annoyed!

what a night!.. don't look back in anger was a great end of this night. after hearing don't look back in anger 9 times acoustic it's was really nice he did it electric! at the end i was so drunk i couldn't find the way back to my hotel, (don't worry i can still remember everything )what supposed to be a ten minute walk became about one and a half hour. every song was just brilliant just like the Manchester gig. it was even more rock n roll then i expected. the only thing i would maybe change is taking away the microphone from Russell. Noel can do the vocals better on his own.
