A lot of people are complaining about how they've become a full fledged, professionally produced band now but they already recorded plenty of DIY garage rock. Growth and change is good, especially when it produces results as amazing as El Camino.

Sorry for bump, just wanted to say that I really liked this album - this and brothers are the only albums I've heard of (pre live4ever forum) from them, so I was wondering whether this is because they are the only good ones, or whether they just happened to get lucky and break mainstream success in that time and I should make significant efforts to listen to the rest of their stuff. (FYI I found brothers a bit too long, not enough songs that really gripped you and made you want to listen to the whole thing through, so if its all like that... )

the black keys haven't released a bad album. so if you like rocknroll , blues or maybe hip hop like on the album "blakroc" by the black keys with some hip hop artists, then you will be satisfied

All of their albums before Brothers and El Camino are significantly better, in my opinion. Rubber Factory and Attack & Release are their two best.
