I do like the fact that Noel is giving everything with the gigs. I was fearing it would be an acoustic performance like his TCT ones - which were great, mind you - but I want the proper full blown sound.
But I have to say that I am disappointed to see no choir and/or orchestra accompanying him on the tour, especially considering that both elements play a massive role on the album.
I guess the reason is that it's hard to take that component around the world, but still.
It would add even greater depth to the performances.
Thoughts?

Think it's because they are smaller venues he's playing. The arena tour next year will definitely have them.

in 2012 are bigger venues on the tour so I think that choir and strings will accompanying him then.

I actually don't expect him to do tours with either of them. I can see a few select, high publicity gigs maybe, but they certainly wouldn't tour with him.

I could see him playing with them in the UK but nowhere else.

I quite like that we're getting different versions of the tunes. When he puts out an official live album, or we get a soundboard boot, it'll be really cool to have the option to listen to the songs with piano solos instead of trumpets etc. I see it as a bonus.
But having said that, the string and choir at the royal albert hall a couple of years back was pretty special.
