So as many of you already know - Noel played the exact same setilist for his first 3 shows. This is is dissaponting as this was the problem with Oasis shows. There are so many fucking songs that are ignored and that none of us ever get to here. I truly believe this hurt Oasis as every night was the same god damn show. A band like Pearl Jam for example will play 3 shows in the same city and make the effort to give something different and awesome at the same time every night leaving in some classic tunes each night at the same show. Noel needs to mix in and out other Oasis songs that he of course wrote and not make the same mistake of when Oasis toured. PLEASE NOEL PLEASE! (examples Noel: Shout it Out Loud, I got the fever, Lord don't slow me down, Full On, etc.)

If he didn't change things in Oasis, I'd be maga surprised if he started changing the set after playing just 3 gigs with a completely new band. The rest of the lads will have only just learned the songs, so I don't expect any changes for the theatre tour, but a few changes for the arena tour in Feb.

If there is one thing that bugs me about Noel it's he's very lazy. There are so many song's he could play but he is too lazy to do it.

Holy crap people are impatient. Noel may prove himself to be lazy. But give him a break. The band won't all know the Oasis catalogue backwards and forwards.
How long did it take BDI to put Wigwam into the set? First gig was on the 3rd, first play of Wigwam was on the 25th. And 4/5 of them actually worked on the song for the album.
Noel goes 3 gigs and people are bellyaching. The gigs sounds good. And I am guessing it's a very rare person that is seeing Noel multiple times for these initial 6 gigs. If by the time he starts his 2nd jaunt around the country in 2012 then start complaining then.
I don't think Noel plans his gigs to ensure that the bootleggers get good variety. And why should he?

It has nothing to do with being lazy. Noel has stated several times that he keeps his set lists constant because it's not fair for one group of fans to get songs that the next group of fans at the next gig don't get, and vice-versa, and so forth.
I believe him, and I agree with him.
How would you feel if he played Mucky Fingers the gig you attended, but the next night dropped it and played Slide Away instead? Extreme example, I know, but the point remains: You would feel shafted.
I do hope he does replace some of those Oasis songs with better ones as the tour progresses, but I do think it's only fair to keep the set list as constant as possible.

Also, for what it's worth, I Got the Fever is only Liam worthy. Was listening to it the other day. No way do I want to hear Noel's rendition of that one.
I'm still yearning for Going Nowhere. That would sound so mindblowingly epic, you have no idea. I really don't know why this one was never played lived.

I think GD is right, it's way to soon to be worried about stale setlists. We've got a pretty good one now with some songs I didnt think we'd hear again like LBL and MF. Let's wait and see.
As for NL4E, I'd be gutted if he ditched Mucky Fingers before Toronto!!! But I get your point.

He should be opening with Simple Game Of Genius, would have been a great opening song if the begginning part was on tape and then they walked out to the play the opening guitar riff. Would have also like to have heard One Way Road and Magic Pie in the setlist. Come on Noel , forget the 3 acoustice versions of Supersonic, DLBIA and Wonderwall and play a full blown band version of at least 2 of them, thats just being lazy if you ask me. ps Freaky Teeth rules, Grover USA .

I don't really like the acoustic version of DLBIA, and was happy to see the electric one make a comeback tonight. An alright gig over all, hoping for the one at the Roundhouse to be a bit more rock and roll. Too many people just standing there with their hands in their pockets... Noel probably needs to change things up a bit, throw some songs out and bring in some new ones. And I really don't know what he is thinking playing DLBIA before TIOBI and then LBL as the closer, I mean WTF!? He really should go out with DLBIA if he wants to play it in the encore.
Oh, and the AA version of IIHAG was awesome. It'll definitely not appeal to the masses, and probably not to most loyal Oasis fans, but I thought it was fuckin' mega! Bring on the AA colab.!

Noel said in some interview that when he went to see the Smiths once, they didn't play This Charming Man. But on the gig before that one, they did play it and Noel didn't particularly like the fact that other fans got to hear while others didn't, as if the fans weren't treated equally. Maybe that's why he doesn't change the set? To have everyone experience the same and not let anyone down?

When Oasis was at their best, Noel used to come out in the middle of the show and sit on a stool and play a solo acoustic set (most of us know this of course). He would say that the band hated him for doing it but that "they are my songs". This was the magic of the shows many of the times. He should/could be doing the same thing now and at least play a handful of songs by himself that can be different from one night to the next. Why? As a musician it keeps you interested, it adds a kind of reward and excitement to seeing a live show in person, and lastly HE can prepare to play a tune himslef without the need or help of the band. Therefore there is no excuse that "they" haven't played togehter long enough. I'm amazed Noel plays the same damn thing every night and doesn't just get fucking bored. It's like you are watching a play on Broadway that is the same every night. Be creative Noel! Change your philospohy on setlists!!!
