I have the chord songbook from 2005 without DOYS. There are some mistakes, but it's nice to have all of the chords to every song in one book.

Yeah I've got an older copy as well. Worth getting if you're just starting out I guess.

I've got the one that goes up to and includes SOTSOG. It's amazing resource if you're just learning how to play. I taught myself guitar with that book, starting from zero knowledge of anything. It's easy to figure out and its got ALL of the songs, including all the bsides. I've got another one called the Little Black Book of Oasis, which is largely similar, but it goes up to (and including) DBTT and doesnt have all the bsides. Bought it for the collection, you know?

Some mistakes, but worthy of your purchase. There's also an ebook version which I found while browsing iBooks (if you've got an iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch).

These books are well worth the money. I've got the earlier versions. I would get it if I were you.

Thank you !! K+
I just downloaded it! Is the songbook that I referred to in my first post in the same way as these two?

Hi there.
After 15 years I just started playing guitar again and bought this book. Got it yesterday. I started with Live Forever. The book states AM7 as third chord. Sounds wrong to my ears. Then I went on to Stand by me. The book states B7sus4 as second chord. Sounds wrong to my ears as well. Bummer!
I am thinking about to return the book. Can anyone confirm that there are lots of mistakes or did I just have bad luck by picking these two songs?
Thanks for information.
Edit: Am7 chord description misses the pinkie on 1st string on 3rd fret and B7sus4 chord description seems to miss pinkie on 1st string 2nd fret.

It was pretty helpful when I was starting to learn the songs acoustically. The third chord in Live Forever should be Am7 so I don't know why it doesn't sound right.

Yep I've got the version before DOYS and couldn't imagine learning the guitar without it.

You can add the pinkie on the e string of the 2nd fret, but it sounds more accurate without, imho.

I have the older book with the gold cover but have never tried to learn the songs cos I only know basic chords like A,G, C etc...but seeing as I got a brand new Epiphone Union Jack Sheraton today, now would be a good time to start.
