It seems as the Beady Eye boys are going to include some Oasis songs in their setlist after the second album. Would you like them to?
I am NOT talking about legal matters here, I know they are aloud to do so. And Morrissey for instance does it as well with Smiths songs that he didn't write.
I'm just curious how you would all feel about Beady Eye singing Oasis songs that Noel wrote, like Supersonic, Live Forever, etc

Personally, if they sing Oasis songs, I'd love to hear Liam sing songs like Live Forever, D'you Know What I Mean, Cigarettes & Alcohol, Gas Panic, Morning Glory, Acquiese .... along with songs they wrote themselves like Boy With The Blues, Guess God Thinks I'm Able, Outa Time, Songbird, Turn up The Sun, ... I don't mind who wrote them. Liam is famous for singing them and I would love to hear them again!  Not all of them at once ofcourse, I'd say a maximum of 3 Oasis songs in their set should be enough! It's not an Oasis gig after all! |

^Acquiesce with Gem singing the chorus or what?  Nah, that one's definitely out, as is MG (too hard too sing without Noel backing up the "weeeeell" section). I expect them to do 100% non-Noel songs, at least for the time being. Of course I would like it if they did Live Forever and it would make going to a BDI gig a lot more exciting...but Liam won't do it. |

Should do Columbia. Liam co-wrote it anyway according to some sources I'm torn on this. I just said in the other thread, I wouldn't complain if I was at a gig and Liam was singing my favourite songs. I don't want them to give the press and others any excuses to throw mud at them though. They should do whatever they feel comfortable with; after all I suppose they did entire sets worth of Noel tunes back in 2000 when Noel fucked off. |

They can sing whatever songs they want. I think it would ring a bit hollow if it just turned into an Oasis concert, but if they want to play it half and half ( which Noel roughly did), I would be very excited to see them.
I think the best route would be to play say 5-6 LAG songs and a 2-3 "iconic" Liam sung Noel songs that rock (RARS, CAA, MG). Plus 10 Beady Eye tunes. They need some better uptempo rockers in their set (BAS, BTL, SOTEOTN are among their worst songs imo)

Yes great news, I hope he'll sing Noel's songs, not only songbird.
Every songs of DM for example are so connected to his voice. He has to sing them again.
Noel won't even play them because "Liam had such a unique way to sang them" (it's his words). It would be a shame if we could only hear accoutic version of Supersonic for the reste of our lives.

Don't want to see them do to many tbh because I think Beady Eye put a really good show on anyway. But I don't really care what they decide to do.

Beady Eye have their own tunes and even if i adore Oasis i prefer to hear Beady Eye tunes and not that boring memorabilia thing (hearing wonderwall for its millionth time) except probably for special occasions...
the same should do Noel , imo.play new tunes ffs.if you want oasis tunes go and reunite your old band.

ANYway, I think they should play only the songs they wrote, wouldn't mind hearing Guess God Thinks I'm Abel, Eyeball Tickler, Hung In A Bad Place etc.
