I think thewrongbeach's go at the lyrics are the best so far. That's spot on to what I think they are!

i was surprised to hear the springsteen reference in there! Yes, it always seemed strange to me that he didn´t talk about Springsteen knowing that he loves Neil Young and Dylan. |

Also I'm pretty sure we've had the first line wrong - Noel sings it so quietly it's hard to tell, but I think it ends with " falling/fallen down" based on the Paris broadcast. |

The Cologne recording is the clearest we can hear the first line. I make it out as "Yeah the rain been falling down", but I'm not sure.
Have any of the live gigs been recorded in surround sound, where we might be able to isolate the vocals somewhat?

As much as I love what we have heard of from FT I have major major concerns about it being totally over produced and losing whatever it is we have that makes it special. Hearing any song live 1st always has some sort of swing in opinion either way be it good or bad, it's different.
Iihag single/album track is by no means bad infact it's very good, but I bet it's better to those who never heard the majestic sound check clip. It lost its soul, it's honesty, it's vulnerability.
We were not really entitled to even have the live version as a comparison (it's the Internet age we live in). But it's there, and those who heard it can't deny the fact it's at very least different.
I worry FT will only get worse. There is no soul to lose as in the case of iihag BUT it will change and I believe for the worse.
I hope to be proved wrong.
