I read that Noel played this on the show but it wasn't showed? Any ideas why not?

Because just 1 song is always shown on Woss. Probably played LBL for the audience. May appear on the website at some stage

There's nothing wrong with Little By Little. It has a good structure, a classic ascending and timing pattern of a rock anthem. The reason a lot of people hate it (I myself don't hate it, I'm just indifferent to it) might be becasue of the fact that it breaks absolutely no ground whatsoever, is in some ways just an inferior version of DLBIA and as Noel will admit himself, is him by numbers - stereotypical songwriting. Had it been released on any other album it might have a better reception, but it comes from an era and album that is quite possibly one of the most dull and drab in Oasis' history, this doesn't help its cause.
SCYHO seems to suffer from a similar thing.

It's a typical song from Noel covering his philosophy of life. That's what makes it awesome. If you like Nietzsche, can you ever get enough of that? Same reason.
