Considering the new album is only ten songs long, 11 new tunes isn't that bad at all. Eight off of the album, plus two b-sides/bonus tracks.

"PaddyMcKenna Paddy McKenna Correction just counted set list again. 9 Oasis songs !! #noelgallagher" So that's 9 out of 20. Seems a perfectly fine balance to me. Again, let's not overanalyse. Oasis were largely brilliant. High Flying Birds is largely brilliant. Mix the two and it's definitely brilliant!

Noel originally said he'd do the album minus Stop The Clocks = 9 songs Some Oasis tracks = 9 songs Some b-sides = 2 songs
Total: 20 beautiful tracks
That's what it should have been, not entirely sure if it ended up like that.

9 out of 20. So that leaves 11 songs for HFB, so all the album (-STC) + The Good Rebel = 10. and then there's Alone On The Rope or Let The Lord Shine A Light On Me. Wow. =] Ok ---- I will take back all complaints - when put that way - it makes complete sense

So how many Oasis tracks did he play, 9/15? lol its clear he's nervous as fuck, HE needed those songs that HE wrote as a form of safety blanky. understandable he's unsure. without the crowd singing along to his new songs and not having that sing along "praise", he'd feel the gig was a bust. Although he does have 15 or so new solo songs he could have played, if using Oasis songs as a crutch helps him accomplish the gig then Im all for it. Maybe as the tour goes on, he'll realize that the fans are gonna cheer him on regardless if he plays an entire HFB gig without Oasis tracks being played as the secret weapon. I guess Liam's just the one with the biggest set of balls between the two. In any event, bring on the States gigs!!!
