I was just looking on the AA myspace page at the extended band members to see who might be playing on Noel's second album. Interesting to note that Mikey Rowe played with them - I didn't know that. Anyone know anything else about the other folks?

Alisha Sufit - Voice from the Magic Carpet Stu Rowe and Antony Argiros - the lost chords Baluji Shrivastav and Jonathan Mayer- sitar, tablas and the Om Mikey Rowe and Rainy Moor - Analogue Overlords of the Vintage Keys and Hammond Dimension Virgil Howe - Drum Circle of One Kez Gunes - the Pulse of the Lower Frequencies Edd Keene - Upper Chakra Flutes Dianne Harris - Woman with burning vision

Just investigating some of these people further. The guitarist on "The Witchfinder" and "Billy the Onion", Gary Lucas, has played with every man and his dog, and cowrote Grace with Jeff Buckley! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_LucasNoel described the second album as a bit Waynes World, wouldn't mind some of this:

Baluji Shrivastav is a blind tabla and sitar player. He played percussion for Stevie Wonder at Hyde Park and Glasto last year. He's played on Doves, Massive Attack, Jah Wobble and Soul II Soul songs...
But get this, he was a session musician for the BBC's Sgt Pepper cover sessions: "I recorded in on BBC2 Abbey Road sessions of tracks from the Beatles Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart re recordings by Oasis and Kaiser Chiefs" So he must be on this, which I absolutely love. Really should've been a b-side like My Generation was:

Well now we know one of the musicians: Alisha Sufit sings at the end of SAHITS, she's been on other AA stuff including the Falling Down remix.
Here she is on the AA version of Let It Be:

Ah cool where did you find that out? It is on the Album's wikipedia page. It was probably enterred by someone who has the Japanese edition of the album with the credits. So it looks like it's two sisters.

As a huge Gary Lucas fan, it saddens me that we will never get to hear the record.

As a huge Gary Lucas fan, it saddens me that we will never get to hear the record. Never say never! Brian Wilson released Smile eventually. The Coral put out The Curse Of Love 8 years after recording it and while officially on hiatus. Noel has a history of hanging on to tunes for ages and eventually releasing them in some form. So there's hope! It's a ready formed bonus disc for when NGHFBs gets milked for a reissue that's for sure!

God knows if I'll still be interested in Noel's music when the NGHFB 25th Anniversary Edition gets released on direct stream to your left testicle or whatever music format is the norm at that time.

Ouch! That's a bit harsh isn't it? I see Lou and Andy when imagining Noel in the studio with the AA. Gaz: "So, yeah man, I was thinking for this track we could add some synths? I have an original 1971 mini-moog man!" Noel points at the brick wall button: "I want that one." Gaz: "Yeah, right on man, we'll get onto the brick walling. But I thought first, on this track, maybe we could lengthen the outro. You know, add some sweet ambient vibes! You scared off the African nose flutists but the girls are always game for coming round to make some orgasm noises!" Brian raises an eyebrow. Noel: "I want that one." Brian lowers his eyebrow. Gaz: "Uh, okay. Maybe we could just add a triangle..?" Noel: "I want that one."

I really don't want to create a VS thing here. This sounds awesome maxbe AA should help Liam doing his songs.... That would be great I think. Here's an old comment from Gaz's FB about meeting Liam: Gaz: "YEH I had an interesting encounter with Liam backstage at Wembley - he was very flattering and complimentary ... ' I wanna thank you .. No really ... For fookin opening my mind ' turning to my girlfriend ' behind every great man is a great woman ' They ( the rest of oasis round me in a semi -circle Noel having left immediately the gig was over - I was supposed to meet him before gig but was late ) all thought I was there with a view to producing Oasis and seemed up for it - Liam ' I just wanna make a record that stops the world dead in its tracks for a moment to listen ' complete with classic Liam demonstrative stance ' just to fookin stop for a moment ' legs bent and akimbo both hands dogmatically reaffirming the words ' I'm sure Noels got his mits all over you but anyway ,I got tracks ...., not full tracks , bits of tracks I could use your help on .... ' right up to my face by this time ...I backed off a bit ,looked at him , thought a moment and replied ' that's what I do really , collage , pieces - you can call me MR BITS ' he looked at Andy bell , Gem all stood round me hangin' on every word .. He cocked his head back in a reverse kind of nod , a ' hark at him ' manner and then muttered 'Mr Bits ' half to himself ... Considering it ... and then wandered off muttering ' Mr Bits 'Called me Mr Bits for the rest of the night .... Unfortunately I didnt take his number and I felt rather guilty with what I knew ... Lovely boys all of them and watching them that night perform a wall of noise , Liam sneering in a punk like fashion without subtlety or dynamic I couldn't help ( fresh from the falling down remix ) think that I'd love to fly straight into oasis cos these guys were hungry and open , keen and under utilized . Noel had told me how he'd played our FALLING DOWN remix before a gig and how they were all to a man transfixed . When I told Brian the story on the phone next day he sighed 'I wish we were producing oasis rather than Noel - imagine what we could do with them - they're all clearly great musicians if given more rein ' Listening to Noels demos ( as I was repeatedly at that point ) all mid paced, insular , slightly maudlin guitar strum , it was hard to disagree .....,,." I still don't understand why they'd work with someone they clearly don't like

Me neither. Everything they say about him seems to be negative. It must be really hard to work with someone you dislike both personally and musically. They probably did it just to get more fame.
Now I can see how the album getting dropped must be frustrating, but how childish is it to slag his music off? That takes away some of their credibility for me.

I still don't understand why they'd work with someone they clearly don't like Plenty of fantastic music has been made by people who don't like each other! Also these comments were all after the event when the relationship had soured.
