Stuff like the London Session Orchestra on Whatever and strings on Wonderwall and Cas't no shadow. Why is that gone? It's not like I can't live without the big arrangements, but they sounded very good right? Has Noel ever talked about using stuff like that again? I know that on (You've got) the heart of a star there are some pretty sweet horns. I just don't understand why he never really did this again?
Maybe some of you people know why?

i'm not sure. but i did hear that they have string arrangements to "let there be love". so we might get a little bit coming on the new record. i'd like to hear more of it as well.
- cheers !

Didn't Noel in an interview a year or 2 ago say he was just tired of having string arrangements on his songs? It was back when he first mentioned that he had been listening to Highway 51 Revisited a lot... But I guess he just couldn't resist, huh?

I like to hear the orchestras and horn sections etc...
But I can see why Noels bored of it, i mean, lets face it he had a horn section in fucking everyother song!
noels a guitar fan.

As a strings player, and a fan, horns and strings in an Oasis song, what could be better than that? (except the band playing a private gig in your own home...)
The strings arrangements in the Masterplan were incredible!! The ringing cellos/basses at the beginning...

strings and horns?? what's wrong with a little more guitar! ;D
hmmm but if anyone listened to Solarized then you'd agree that horns can be a bad thing.
