I've always held The Velvet Underground in the highest regard but I could never listen to them for more than 10 minutes or so at one sitting because of the poor production of their music. I know, I know...it's that sound that is their trademark and made them stand out like no other band. It certainly has its place in history, but I just can't get my ears accustomed. If I listen to them, I usually throw the "Loaded" CD on because the sound quality on that isn't bad.
