Hey, i just had one question about the LYLA video:
In the beginning, there are three people in an apartment (well 4 if you count the dog) one is the chick its about, the second is a black guy who is mad at the chick, but i dont know who the other guy is, i mean it doesnt matter unless he is Noel Gallagher, is it Noel? It looks like him, thanks!

I guess think ala Trainspotting- it's a bunch of druggies living to gather in a smack house... The way I figure: she can't take it any more, she throws them out, she goes the medicine cabinet, grabs some drugs and is transported to a rock 'n roll circus (either that or Oasis/rock 'n roll is her drug). She's in there- its a lot of fun but then after awhile she starts to crash. Maybe she's ODed and the dream becomes a nightmare. By the end she's back to reality....and then the powerful message is: DON't BELIEVE THE TRUTH....maybe making you think what's a dream and what's a reality (I'd say it's a message of escapism. don't believe reality. live the fantasy...)
Top video in my opinion!

it says 'dont believe the truth' to tell her or to tell us that oasis would never play for such a ridiculous crowd or make such a ridiculous video.
thats a hidden message.
the guy is making the telly louder when the video starts.. and that's why she can hear oasis while she is high..
otherwise that would be a usher video or something like that..

There's actually four people in the apartment. I watched it twice just now, and at the beginning, there are two guys on the couch, another guy standing, and then Lyla.

Could be him actually... Class film.  At the end of the day I like the video, but i dont think we should THINK about it too much. Its probably got some meaning in it somewhere but I just like to watch it coz its cool. Its a bit of a posh crowd for Oasis eh? |
