I liked Oasis until Heathen Chemistry. Is that strange? Oasis is, was, and always will be Liam, Noel, Guigsy, Bonehead, and a drummer. So, let me get this straight....... you still liked SOTSOG...... which was only Liam, Noel and a drummer................. ...and Bonehead

Bonehead didn't play on SOTSOG According to Noel, Bonehead played during the first sessions, of which parts were used in the final mixes.

Reviews are just opinions and everyone has a different opinion on music!

Reviews only matter until you have heard the material yourself.
I think that the thing is that no one expected Noel to get 2/5's. The fact that he's gotten any is something that we are all noticing.
BDI were expected to have middling album at best. No one, not even those in the board expected a great album. So when their reviews were 2-3/5 that was right about what we expected. A 4/5 was an excellent review or them. The appearance of a score below 3/5 was unexceptional. With Noel it is exceptional.

Don't like the album myself. At least Beady Eye resemble Rock, Noel's album sounds like something middle class students listen too.

Music is subjective, music critics are useless.

Music is subjective, music critics are useless. True. Exile on Main St was given mixed reviews when it came out, now its considered one of the best albums of all time and The Stone's best. It's not the Stone's best though, Let it bleed is.

man, here we go.... was this thread really necessary?
I have seen quite a few 2 star reviews from actual publications like Uncut and The Guardian. I don't understand why we're citing reviews by crap papers... like "The Examiner" or the Daly Mail, or The Finiancial whatever-the-fuck that shit is called. Who gives a crap what they fucking think? might as well start quoting random blogs.
If you want a well-done review... wait for the AllMusicGuide one. That's one of the few i pay attention to and that actually matters.

They don't try and be too clever or make a point ... aka The Guardian.
