I thought I would make a topic for this because I have been paying more attention to song structure recently, and besides the obvious songs that Oasis drew influence from, and the countless *coughcoughGREEN DAYcough* that have tried to sound like Oasis, it's fun to catch these all across music.
Speaking of Green Day, maybe I am crazy, but I was listening to She Bangs the Drums (Stone Roses) today and was thinking that I had heard a song with a similar sound. I think the song I was thinking of is Know Your Enemy by Green Day. Maybe I am completely off but I hear a strong resemblance between Know Your Enemy and the chorus of She Bangs the Drums.

Yeah, The Las are a band I never really heard much from but from the snippets I have heard, Oasis drew maybe more influence from them than the Beatles.
A few more on the top of my mind:
ORIGINAL SOUNDALIKE Wonderwall - Oasis Boulevard of Broken Dreams - Green Day Rockin Chair - Oasis Wake Me Up When September Ends - Green Day Wonderwall - Oasis Your Love is a Lie - Simple Plan Doublewhiskeycokenoise - Dillinger Four American Idiot - Green Day Dammit I Changed Again - Offspring Still Waiting - Sum 41 The Scientist - Coldplay Pieces - Sum 41 Viva La Vida - Coldplay If I Could Fly - Joe Satriani How Sweet to be an Idiot - Neil Innes Whatever - Oasis
