...."Everybody's On The Run" succeed.
The latter: Sweeping bombastic drip done good The former: Sweeping bombastic drip done bad
Latter: Emotionally resonant (generally speaking of course-- fuck the personal, we're talking pop music here) Former: Emotionally stagnant (like jerking off to a photo, like; whereas the latter is like jerking off to a moving image, however fleeting and an abundance of start-stop, cha know what I mean?)
Latter: Talks about loving your bitch Former: Talks about loving your bitch's bastard son, cha know what I mean?
whaddya reckon??

Both are great songs, and Record Machine is probably the song with more commercial appeal in the album. Mi girl is into pop music and really loves that one

NO!...."Record Machine" is really a "Let There Be Love", I dunno if that's really a good thing. It lacks...I dunno, charm for me to really surrender to it (Fuck, did I just use "surrender" to describe a song....Waht the fuck, omg, REO speedwagon territory...That's WHY I don't like the song: That's how it makes me feel, AND I DON'T LIKE IT)

Seriously, like I've mentioned before, it sounds eerily like a Michael Jackson track. not fuckin with you...and not just with the children playing alone

I think you've got it the wrong way round mate. The drums and repetitive vocals on EOTM bring it down. RM is bloody majestic.

I'm not saying "Everybody's On the Run" is an out-n-out stunner, I'm just saying is exponentially better for a track that is in the same vein, if you will, of "Record machine". The fuckin drums fit the arrangement and strings arrangement, or whatever the fuck. "repetitive vocals" waht cha mean? You mean the melodic lines were repetitive? well, it's well good and its repetitiveness justifies that.

Wow this guy gets really angry. Sounds like he has a personal vendetta against Noel. Haha
Take it easy man, it's just music.
I think RM is a massive tune. I love how it's turned out. Going to let the songs sink in more before I review them fairly..
But I think this is going to be absolutely massive live.
Wish he was doing Stop the Clocks too. He could do some sort of medley with this song as their in the same vein/feel.
Love to hear him finish a show with that Stop the Clocks ending. Would be monumental.

Okay, I'm angry because I just broke up with my girl, and not just because I'm not having sex on a regular basis but that it's not that meaningful and heartfelt anymore, like there has to be some kindof sortof existential crisis to say the act. you know what i'mean? THAT'S WHY I'M ANGry. no, no personal vendetta,
