I have been on every Oasis release since Def Maybe. I know when I hear a great album and this simply isnt. I have heard the shit you now say many times before. "Little James is an amazing song" bla bla bla... Well, I will try to be an accepting person but I know you will have a different opinion 1-2 years from now. I know I certainly won't have a different opinion about this album 1-2 years from now. I will still love it. Perhaps you don't enjoy this album as much as the other Oasis albums because it's not really a rock 'n roll album? Because from a songwriting standpoint (which is the main basis that I enjoy music), this is a very strong collection of songs, and a very strong album. If you believe so then you have fooled your self. A review which is fair. 6/10 drownedinsound.com/releases/16576/reviews/4143754

Think he's a better songwriter now, he's moved on and working on new styles, very exciting time to be a Noel fan. This album just has the best flow of songs, will get better with age.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, man. The only fair way I can think of to compare this album with Oasis' stuff is by noting how many songs I really love from the album vs. how many I loved off, say, DM or WTSMG.
Off of this album, I love:
DO BA WAL TDOYAM IIHAG
DM and WTSMG have 5 tracks I love on each. The sound itself can't be compared because it's so different, but I think in absolute terms, there can be a comparison.
With any new release, things will take time to settle. I think some songs from this album will be Noel classics. I don't know that all 5 of the ones I love on it will ascend to that level, but I'm also not one to say that my opinion on a particular song is correct or the only valid one.
That said, I hope everyone that thinks it's an average album enjoys it more as time progresses, because it'd be a shame for anyone to have waited for this record and found it genuinely lackluster or disappointing.

He's being honest and seems positive, nothing wrong with that.

What the hell? I have my reasons for thinking so. Soaring choruses, diverse instrumentation, strong melodies. I hear all of that when I listen to these songs. People can look at things differently.

We are in the overwhelming majority, it's a great album & it's nice to be apart of positivity for Noel. Exciting times.
