digging the proper, finished versions of both r.m. and s.t.c. ... however because we've had the demos for so long, and i've listened to those demos so many times, the album versions now sound like remixes to me--- especially stop the clocks. anyone else trying to 'adjust' to these new album versions?

The final production of Stop The Clocks is awesome IMO.

I really love them both.
I wasn't a big fan of RM before, but the finished version is simply epic.

They are both improved IMO, but I probably listened to RM as much as DOYS when it came out, so it just isn't as fresh as the rest.

Record Machine is lovely but I think STC has suffered it just seems like a bit of a mess. I don't know whether thats just the current rip though.

I am missing the bassline of record machine compared to the demo..

I also miss that bass, but I'm loving the finished articles. The demos became so boring to me and I was getting majorly fucked off with them

I prefer both the demo versions but I'm sure that's just because they were the first versions I heard and the ones I'm more familiar with.
The two "proper" versions are definitely the best versions but not to my head, does that make any sense?
Part of me wishes I had never heard the demo versions, ah well. That's what you get for scoping out Noel Gallagher demo's 3 years before he releases his solo record.

The demo version of RM had more balls and the new STC lost the darker feeling of the demo.

Stop The Clocks came out really well. I think Record Machine could have been so much better. I don't like the Polyphonic Spree choir. Also Noel should have double tracked his vocals on the 'don't give me a reason...' part to give it a an extra punch like the demo has.

So the demos told you to "Fuck off"? (serves you right to be fair) Umm... yeah... idiot Oh, I'm sorry. I reckon it would've have been better and less cantank if I had postscript it with "(serves you right, if you don't mind me sayin so MYSELF)" BUT what can you do?: You shit what you eat, don't cha?

"Record Machine" is so fuckin plodding, and, in the end, just fuckin daft. I mean, I ken its projection, like, and, say, the songwriter's intention, but it's just...daft. I like the melodious urgent bit at the end, but that's about it really.

I like RM but STC is even worse than before. the only thing I liked about the demo was the solo at the end and it's ruined

but seriously? I think their both quite good the way they ended up, but if I were to nitpick...Record Machine needs the bass, longer guitar solo or whatever that part is , and take out all that madness that starts in the last minute of Stop The Clocks. I enjoy them both either way

No, no, no, no...the ending of Stop The Clocks is the best part. Without it the song's nothing special.

I think you can hear his boredom with the song in his vocals on STC. I wish the demo's vocals were over the album's music.
