After listening to the "leak" about 50 times. I have to say, compared to Oasis records, the weakest part of the NGHFB album, is the drumming. The drummer sounds boring. Is that Noel on the drums? I'm hoping the official copy will have a bigger drum sound, but still, can't change the beats. Alan White, or Starkey, or Sharrock would've rocked hard on these songs, especially EOTR. Am I the only one who thinks this? The drums are too straight forward and almost intentionally uncreative.

They may be a bit lacking in creativity, but the tunes are so strong that I hardly notice, and it really doesn't bother me. But I see your point.

Noel's studio team were a bunch of mercenaries. What do you expect?

I agree, the songs are too good, and I love the album anyway. I just noticed a big difference from the Oasis drummers to this album. I'm still hoping the official copy will sound bigger, that will make a huge difference.

Alan White, or Starkey, or Sharrock would've rocked hard on these songs, The thing is, this is not a rock record, it is more poppier than Noel usual stuffs, so the drums is a lot more jazzier to fit the mood of the album.

well , maybe it's just the rip we're all listening to as well. I expect the official copy to sound bigger and heavier. Even for a modern Pop album, the rip sounds thin to me.

i actually like the drums. they're understated, so they don't take away focus from the actual songs themselves.

yeah... on some of the songs it's like he just went on Garage band and picked a drum loop and stuck that to the whole tune. kinda boring but still. EOTR is brilliant imo. Only way it'd be better is if Liam was singing it.

I get it that its a pop album but, some d&b would have sure boosted the feel of the lp. Its like light d&b
