It reminds me a lot of his vocals during the WTSMG sessions...I loved how his vocals were in Step Out, DLBIA, Acquiesce and how afterwards his voice had changed a lot

i'm glad he's going back to the same method.

This just means it'll sound strange when he sings live however...
