On the Live forever documentry dvd extras the really annoying posh man said that liam writes with other people, and that the 'other people' don't get writing credits... is this true, and who does he write with??

from what ive heard he writes with gem...because he can hardly play guitar gem helps him work out the songs music....thats my guess anyways

liams is a decent gutarist, hes been playing for nearly 4 years, noel taught him when he was 29, laim wrote songbird and born on a different cloud on his own with a gutair in the south of france, and as far as i now the original demo for little james was played with andy bell, maybe thats what he means

liam does write his own melody and lyrics, but Gem transcribed the Songbird chords cos Liam was singing the tune but didnt know wot chords that would have been on the guitar (from wot Ive heard/read)
in terms of helping him wiv the song, whoever 'helped' him wiv the production of little james needs a knife in the face. Completely ruined wot little redeeming features the song originally had.

he was a skater boy she said see you later boy  fuck up you little whore It leaves me with an unhealthy blood pressure to think about 'artists' like Busted, Avril Lavigne, McFly etc Why can the public not see that they are manufactured acts designed to appeal to all the teenie boppers who lap that sort of shit up and people who pretend not to like manufactured bands but can say 'hey, at least they 'write' their own songs and 'play' their own instruments' lavigne is obviously too fucking ugly to have been the next britney/xtina so some chump put a fucking guitar in her hand and said sing the first shit that comes into your head. 15m+ album sales later, she's the fucking superstar living off her guitar. i once 'wrote' a song that went la la la la la you are gay la la la la la everyday etc and I sang it at a kid in my class to make him cry I was 10. That level of lyric complexity shouldnt sell 15m albums. Shouldnt being the key word of the sentence. Damn these teen pre-pubescent girls with too much pocket money. |

many people laud Radiohead for refusing to bow to commercial pressure cos they do their own thing and they dont prostitute themselves to the media to sell records. despite their (lets be fair) significantly higher profile and the stupid amount of column inches dedicated to the verbal bullshit liam and noel spout, Oasis, like Radiohead, continue to do their own thing. The same cant be said of U2 or Coldplay. If Oasis wanna sell more records they need to either become Arch-fucking-bishops like Bono or a media slut like Chris Martin. Basically, two-fingers to these ppl. They can carry on buyin Avril. |

Why do you think Chris Martin is a media slut? He is forever in the press banging on about something and nothing but generally it's self-righteous and patronising. He gets around and jumps on wotever bandwagon first parks itself outside his house. And for the third album he's changing Coldplay's sound not cos he wants to but cos he knows that if he doesnt the press will savage him. Whored himself out and bowed down to 'critics' who've never picked up a guitar, pen and pad of paper on the same fuckin day. Contrived springs to mind. |

Liam's been playing guitar longer than that. He said in a 1997 interview that began to play. So 8 years. I'm pretty sure that everything on Heathen Chemistry he wrote by himself.

Contrived springs to mind. im gald taht you can at least seperate coldplay with what chris goes on about. cos yeah, love coldplays music but on the above note...at least with Chris Martin his causes are good ones. free trade and all that are important issues and if he wants to use his fame to brign awareness to that then go him.... better than other famous ppl who use fame to sell their clothign lines or for soem strange reason think then they should now be an actor. argggggggggggggggggggggggggggh my oet hate. signers who think they can act and vice versa. they are such different art forms what on earth makes them think they can act?! well to be honest, free trade is the only thing i associate with Martin, i dotn know what else he goes on about so i make my opinion based on waht limited stuff i know bout him i havent heard much about the new album ( i really hear nothing here in singapore -.-) other than its released liek a week or so after oasis, and im looking forward to it. am skeptical about the changing in sounds...but i'm willing to wait before making judgement |
