I noticed that it's one of the least favourite tracks here, I listened to it for the first time on headphones and I was thinking that the verses are really good, but when the chorus came in I was fucking blown away.
I love its dramatic and elegiac atmosphere and I genuinely think that it's one of Noel's best choruses ever.
When the dust will settle, this track may be the "Hey Now" of this album - a "hidden" gem not slaughtered by the airplay.

i really like the trumpet? solo innit. but the drum beat is getting boring because it's on most of the songs

It's good, still one of the weaker songs, but on a really high level - a lot like Hey Now on MG.

It's the underrated track for me. I really like it its better than DO in my opinion. It's still way too early for proper judgement but this song is really good.

It's brilliant. Great lyrics and it genuinely sounds like The Kinks at their best.

All the songs stand out on their own except this one. It's a good transition track though and fits the album.

Hard to believe this is one of the BEST tracks on this album. THe lyrics are pretty solid too. The thing that draws me in is the opening beat that just carries on throughout the track. Kinda giving a vibe of creeping about some vanashing little town full of jesus freaks and a few soldier boys. Would have been good if it would have been tied in a way to The Turning.

I think that trumpets are great.
Noel's most pointed lyrics ever. I love them.
The song musically is not really unique. It wears it's influences without shame. But it's not weak.
One of my least favorite tracks. But I won't be skipping it.
