Yes, it's leaked. Yes, the trolls have finally f**ked off and, yes, lots and lots of people on here are very happy (understatement). But has anybody resisted temptation yet?
I've downloaded the good quality rip but have only listened to Record Machine, Stop The Clocks and Everybody's on the Run (I doubt any other tune will be as good as this) because I already knew them - the others I'm waiting for when the CD/vinyl arrives. I've not even listened to the previews!
Even though I love everything put out so far, it's been surprisingly easy ignoring the other 4 tunes, especially when I've got 10 tracks to get me through til next week anyway. Bring it on and bring on 26th October!

I couldn't resist....
Nothing beats hearing the CD for the first time though.

Whatever floats your boat. I think you will be very impressed with the songs you haven't heard yet.

Whatever floats your boat. I think you will be very impressed with the songs you haven't heard yet. I don't doubt it - that's what's keeping me going. I'm fed up with the "on-demand" nature of the current music listening process. I used to to spend hours taping Radio 1 over and over on a cassette as a kid until my favourite songs came on and it was so exciting waiting for it and I just want to feel the same again. When I was a student, Monday morning trips to HMV were a highlight of the week and mp3s, itunes, torrents etc have more or less ensured that all future generations will never see that sense of anticipation about release days again. The only leak that's ever come close to the old skool excitement for me was when HC dropped, but being on dial up internet meant that even Songbird took about an hour to download so it was the drip feed of songs which made it exciting. I remember Born on a Different Cloud took about 3 hours!!

I'm waiting. Heard the previews and they don't do the songs justice from what I can gather. I now want to heat a perfect recording and don't want to spoil it with a less than perfect one. I want my first time to be special

The stream was perfect quality and I listened through without skipping, so it was close enough to listening to the whole album

The only song is REALLY wanted to hear was EOTR. I listened to that one 3 times before I want to class. Just came back from class now and listened to EOTR again first and only than I listened to the other songs. I feel totally different than with the DGSS leak. I really wanted to hear all the songs at the same time and didn't know what to do: listen to a song in full are skip to another to hear that one faster? I guess it's cause we already know most of the songs on this one anyway. DGSS was more exciting as we didn't know what to expect at all!

I'm waiting. I haven't listened to the previews or even the strings/choir track of EOTR past the first 30 seconds. I figure I've heard over half the album in one form or another, so I want the first listen to the finished product to be as nice as possible. Plus it's only a week left to wait now and I won't have computer access for half of that anyway.

Yeah it's a bit masochistic of me being on this board now but it's only a week and I am going to hold out until next Monday. I actually really enjoyed reading everyone's thought on the album which I did on the train to work this morning - the thoughts of the people here are much more relevant to me than the majority of the reviewers I've read, because you all feel the same way about Oasis as I do. I thought I'd have to hide from this forum once the leak came but actually this is just building my excitement further. I jsut hope people still want to talk about the album by next Monday night when I give it my first spin

I'm more or less from that age too, one of the last ones but still I do remember well waiting for DYKWIM 1st radioplay etc. I've still all my radio recorded cassette tapes somewhere It is sad that that's gone and will never return. But I'm still seeing the fun side of this new situation. Trying not to dwell on the past. Waiting for leak these days has it's own, new, anticipation, checking several times a day, the uncertainty of it makes it exciting. It's not like it's "I WANT IT HERE AND NOW AND I CANT HANDLE IT IF I DONT GET IT IMMEDIATELY", we've been waiting for this album for years already! The anticipation is there, it's just in a different form! Last night when the leak came out I had such great time with my friends online listening to it and freaking out It's different now but I don't think it's awful or dull. Just different.
