What's up guys? ;D
Noel Gallagher gave us a great record, Beady Eye too
The idea is make an "Oasis album" with your favorite tracks, like this:
Everybody is on the run Four Letter word The Roller If I had a gun The Death of you and me Kill for a Dream Dream on In a Bubble With a Bullet Broken arrow Standing on the Edge of The Noise Record Machine The Morning Son
I think this album would be better than any Oasis album since SOTSOG.
What you guys think?

it could've been a great album.... i'd also include 3rc and/or Wigwam but yeah, in the words of Chris Tucker: we could've had something special!!!

I think this would probably be the most Beatles-esque Oasis album ever:
1. Wigwam 2. Soldier Boys and Jesus Freaks (Liam Vocals) 3. Three Ring Circus 4. (I Wanna Live In A Dream In My) Record Machine 5. The Beat Goes On 6. Dream On 7. The Roller 8. The Death Of You And Me 9. Wind Up Dream 10. Stop The Clocks (Liam Vocals) Secret Track: World Outside My Room
Edit: A couple of these would be better with Liam singing, IMO.

How about if it was a double Oasis album - maximum 80 mins per CD. Working on a tracklist now.

But I reckpn we should wait for 'A Simple Game Of Genius' before deciding on any finished tracklist. But a double album is a great idea! then we just need som amazing Marcos artwork

I think those songs would work so well together, Might be worth rearranging my ipod playlist.. Does anyone have copies of IABWAB and WOMR if possible?

Everything on DGSS sounds like crap now, to be honest. There are some really good songs, but come on... DGSS would've made for some great B-sides.

In reality, a good 60% of the songs on DGSS were songs that have been doing the rounds for a while and are songs that were knocked back or held back by Noel for various reason on previous Oasis projects.

i've come to realize that when it comes to Noel... less is more.
you really appreciate his vocals more when he only sang on one or two tracks. It even gives you a chance to miss his voice, it's like after a few Liam-sang songs, it's a breath of fresh air. I always knew i wouldn't be able to really appreciate a full album sung by the chief. just my opinion.

Yeah, but Liam really doesn't sound as good as he did. So it's kind of better just to hear Noel this time...

Combining the two would've been great, but if I had to choose 10 tracks I wouldn't have anything from Beady Eye. As a sprawling and eclectic double album however, many of the tracks from Different Gear would certainly add something.

I think many Beady Eye tracks would sound quite different had Noel used them for an album. His input cannot be underestimated, even on the other members' tracks. That's why nothing on DGSS sounds like I'm Outta Time (for better or worse).

That's why nothing on DGSS sounds like I'm Outta Time (for better or worse). Agreed and this is what grates me about the better tracks on DGSS. People like to criticise Noel's production skills and when left to his own devices rightly so (hello Heathen Chemistry). But with Sardy I think he would've made a huge difference. For example, The Roller is a great song but I feel the album version is a bit flat. Compare that to the LAG songs on DBBT and DOYS which regardless of quality, sound great in my opinion.

Combining the best of the two albums would give you the best Oasis album since WTSMG for sure. I will do it later on, when I gave the new Noel tunes some more listens, it's too early now.
But one thing that should be noted is: If Oasis was still around, a new Oasis album would've never been as good as the one we are creating here, combining the best of DGSS and NGHFB. Same ingredients, but would'nt have worked.

The problem is that my choice would have like 7 or 8 Noel sung songs and 2 or 3 Liam´s
