I hope and think it will do great. It has energy and it rocks kind of like "Hindu Times." It also has a catchy hook "Heeeeeeeyyyyy Lyla!"

I think the hindu times is much better.... I hope what noel said about this not even being the 5th best tack on the album is true... Personally I think this is their worst single since who feels love

is it mainstream enough? will girlies like it? will the kids like it? I hope this can do something for Oasis here in America but if MTV isnt gonna play it and radio stations either...Well people here in America are dumb about music. They need to have it spoon fed to them...
Let's just hope for the best!
(It's ten times better than Vertigo by U2 and that song was beaten to death in the US!!!)

I live in California,
and i just heard Lyla. And let me just say, all this time i was waiting for a new Oasis song, and it was worth it. No song in 2003 is as good as this. If people in the U.S. dont like this song, they dont know music.

Its not gonna do shit in philly because the only station that would ever play oasis got taken off the air and the other "rock"stations dont think oasis is rock enought they're more intrested in fucking jet

Yeah, it may be tough goings for Oasis in America on this LP too. Oh well, I got my tickets to see them at Red Rocks in Sept. so fuck mainstream America if they'd rather embrace 50 cent, Jessica Simpson, and Good Charlotte. FUCK IT, I'm moving to England, can't take it here anymore!

So i've played the new single to a lot of my friends. Some who are Oasis virgins and some who are pretty into em. I think the tune is mega (it took bout 3 listens to fall in love) BUT THEY.... They just sighed...
I don't think this is anything that will turn heads. Oasis are the fans' band and this is for them. It's not to pull in new music lovers. It's just not that special of a single.
Does anyone else agree? I mean, I'm just gauging from my friends' responses...
