..the songwriting credits. Not a weak song in sight. Oasis 2000-2008 albums would have been quite a bit better, all over. Shame he lost the fire and drive at some point. This is the strongest collection of songs since 1997 easily, well done NG, well done. This is why he is The Chief, and why he was the songwriter!

It pisses me off that he didn't include some of these because they didn't "sound like Oasis." The Oasis sound came from him and he should have dictated the sound in the later years. Whatever the songs he was writing sounded like should have determined the direction Oasis went in musically in their later years. He shouldn't have tried to write songs that conformed to a sound they set for them selves in 1994.

Exactly. If these 12 or 13 songs had been spread out over HC, DBTT, DOYS, instead of songs contributed by LAG (aswell as some duds by Noel himself) then the albums would be so so much stronger

I think any of these songs would've "fitted" on HC or DBTT, and several of them on DOYS

You gotta remember that their sound did change a lot over the last decade. I could see a lot of the stuff here not fitting with their later, bluesy/british/dadrock sound.
On the other hand, nearly all this material could fit on the first two albums on terms of songwriting. The only difference between the DM tracks is just the loud guitars, really.

Come on guys. These songs are still fresh. If it was the other way around, it'd be exactly the same.
