I was wondering that also. If I have to, I am going to order it from amazon or barnes and noble from the UK site. It sucks they don't release many singles in the US.

Can someone explain this to me:
"In addition to the standard single CD version of the album - we will now be releasing a) a dual disc version of the album in the US and b) a LIMITED EDITION higher price point, double CD version of the album ex-US. This limited edition album will be in a hard back cardboard book - standard CD jewel case size. It will contain 2 CDs - the full album as well as a bonus DVD disc. The DVD content will be the 17 minute EPK - track-by-track discussions by the band members on the making of the album plus the video clip for 'Lyla' (same content as on the DVD side of the dual disc)."
So they are releasing a dual disc version of the album in the US? a) What do they mean by "dual disc"? - 2 cds? and (see c) b) Is the dual disc only available in the US, or North America, ie - including Canada too. c) is the "dual disc version" something different from the "LIMITED EDITION higher price point, double CD version of the album ex-US" d) If so, is the limited edition NOT available in north america or is it also available in north america d) waht does "ex-US" mean? e) does the "dual disc" version have the same content as the "limited edition" one, the only difference being that the limited edition comes in a hardcover book jewel case like blur's think tank limited edition? If so does "ex-us" mean that the hardcover version isn't available in the US, but is elsewhere and only option a, (consisting of the same stuff as option b, just not in the hardcover book thing) is available in the US.
confused but excited

yea they arent too clear with that
what i assume is that ex-us is exclusive US. the standard version will be a disc that is one side a regular music cd for your cd player, and the other side is a dvd with the documentary and music video. its kinda like those dvds that are double sided for one side widescreen and the other side fullscreen. the deluxe version is kinda vague. it says its two cds and the dvd is the video stuff, so maybe the music cd in the deluxe is one sided. as for the north america/america deal, it will most likely be the deluxe version you can get all across north america. in canada there arent too many things the american get that we dont. if there is, then canada will get the suff a couple of weeks after the americans. likewise, some music and games come out in canada before america, like suede's coming up album or the final fantsy 7 game

Sounds great, but I will be very disappointed if it's just BS.

So is the speciel edition available everywhere and the U.S. gets the duel cd one. If so that sux the U.S. gets the best version when the whole country practacly hates them. >: At least the special edition is better then nothing

The US doesn't generally hate Oasis. They either 1. Don't know about good music in the first place, hence they are unaware of Oasis, 2. like Oasis for the wrong reasons in believing that Oasis only has one album WTSMG, or 3. They are fanatics such as myself. What I find funny is that I think it is a fair assumption that Oasis looks at the US with disdain and they are going to give us the best cd package.

if you do order the us version off amazon or whatever it would be really crappy if you had to wait for it to get to you after the release date when it was already in the shops. and also a lot of fans will order it from the US so you would think that might dammage the countrys album sales (not americas)

I meant the single of Lyla to be released the 16th of May. I don't know where else to get singles excet from on-line. The album itself will be released int he US on May 31st.

If you have a Virgin Megastore anywhere near you, they usually have the current import cd singles, and they cost around 10 dollars or so.

I think that the article about the new album is saying that there will be:
1. The single disc version of the album with the songs only 2. A version in a jewel case with the album as well as a bonus dvd. 3. A version with the album and dvd packaged in a special deluxe edition case
I could be wrong, but this is what I got from it. When the current U2 album came out, they also had three versions of the album with the same features that I listed above.

Maybe we'll get a load of b-sides (?!)
Perhaps Stop the Clocks?
I REALLY wish Oasis made their b-sides more available.

Hey people, not to be negative but I would not get your hopes up about this whole double disc thing. Many reasons for this: 1) Noel continuesly says he will not release any form of double CD because: - Doesnt't want to give Sony any more tracks (which I would assume to be ANYTHING, not just songs...) - Refuses to do anything that will give Sony a chance to boost the price tag (Gotta love Noel) 2) Noel fucking hates documentaries. I'm not sure if this 17 minute thing is something like the Definitely Maybe DVD, in which case maybe this is all true... But if it is any sort of biography or anything like that, then you can bet all this news is complete rubbish. -Watch this all be announced as the truth from Sony or Oasis and I look like a total wanker! Cheers
