Was with my mates band in the studio yesterday and they're sound engineer is good friends with Jason Rhodes. Apparently The Chief has been rehearsing 'The Girl In The Dirty Shirt', 'Heroes', 'Fade In-Out' & 'Don't Go Away'. Now, This of course doesn't mean that we will see these being played on the tour. I am only passing on what I have been told. So don't shoot the messenger if we don't hear these. But I would imagine there will be loads of tracks that will be rehearsed before making a final decision. But apparently, those 5 are ones that are being stuck into at the moment.
Just wondered on everyones thoughts??

They aren´t 5, they are 4, and one of them is a Bowie song. And Fade in out is one of the best Liam´s vocals

Fade in out acoustic was amazing 14 years ago. Let's hope he does this one.

I agree about 'Fade In-out' being one of Liam's best vocals - possibly thee best! Would be interesting what sort of arrangement would be used.

I hardly know the guy having only met him 3 or 4 times. But I do know that he is friends with Jason Rhodes as I have seen him at the studio together before. So there could be some truth in it. I was wondering what other forum members thought?

TGITDS is a song that he has nailed live quite long ago, so why not again? I don't remember Liam singing this one live. Fade In-Out acoustic is an option too, as is DGA.

Personally, I think it depends on what sort of arrangement he has. I mean, will the crouch end choir feature? Or will he have a string section etc? Also is there a possibility that he could surprise us all and NOT even have an acoustic set in the show??

Sorry man i just cant see why he'd pick any of them except 'Dont go away' He'll be wanting to deliver the hits big time alongside the unfarmiliar new material. And hes been saying (as he always does) he cant listen to be here now and been very disparaging of it in interviews recently

But after thinking about it, this is like a new begining - so maybe there could be a few surprises. I'm not sure - thats why I asked the thoughts of fellow oasis fans. I mean just because he's 'rehearsing' them - it doesn't mean that he will play them. I mean I would imagine that new musicians and a new band to work with bring new ideas. So really, I think we could expect any oasis song on this tour - maybe a few surprises.

Well they did rehearse gas panic on the last tour but never played it apparently so i take your point but if theres gonna be any surprises it definitely wont be any of Fade in/out, girl in dirty shirt or heroes. Id put me life on it

Yeah maybe your right. It just got me thinking thats all. oasis also rehearsed 'The Turning' as well and played it during sounchecks on the last tour - and that didn't feature either. I guess all we can do is wait and see. But new musicians do bring new idea's and if it's true about trumpets and sax on the tour then could that open the door to something like 'Round Are Way' or 'Going Nowhere'? I'm sure there will be a few songs that are being rehearsed that we won't see during the tour.

I'd love to hear Gas Panic! or Fade In-Out, personally. I like both of those better than The Masterplan, which is a lock to be played.

Before I got told this, I would have put my mortgage on Noel just playing the usual suspects - Wonderwall, masterplan, dlbia, tiobi, half the world away etc. But since I got told this (weather it's true or not I don't know) I have been curious as to what Noel might actually surprise us with.

The first tour is in tiny venues, so it's gonna be mostly hard core fans who got tickets, not placid casuals clamouring for Wonderwall... So I really hope he plays some curve balls because I don't need to hear don't look back in anger live for the twelveth time...
I'd love to hear WPTWOTWOMS, never understood why that was squandered on an OST.
