Am I the only one who thinks it's weird that we have the name of the new single, which is incredibly close to the name of a popular song by the Who - the same band to which the song is being compared? Also, with the whole "pogo-ing" reference, I really don't know how that term can be used to describe a song, but if I had to, I would think that Pictures of Lily would definitely work. I tend to think that if they were trying to rip off the Who, they would have avoided making references to the Who. Could they have been that stupid? If the song ends up sounding ANYTHING like Pictures of Lily I will be pissed off. BUT - I am hoping for the best, as usual.

i think its vintage OASIS nick the song title from "derik and the dominos" " lyla" instead of "layla" nick the style or sound from "the who"(though im sure it wont be the sound of pictures of lily that was a more mellow tune than NOEL says this is) but in the end make it sound very "OASIS" WHICH MEANS A BRILLIANT TUNE THAQT WILL MAKE US SING IT TO OURSELVES WITHOUT REALISING IT  ..THATS WHY THEY ARE BRILLIANT |

damn, i thought he was cleared of the kiddie-porn stuff...of course now that i think of it, i remember that his excuse when they found the pictures on his computer was that he was doing 'research' on how easy it is to acquire kiddie porn on the net. That seems like a flimsy sort of excuse...

Yea one of the saddest things I ever heard was the notion that one of my heros could be a pedophile. John entwistle is now my favorite member of the who, actually. It's definitely really sad...
Gary Glitter was even more disturbing though because he had loads of the stuff in his home. But i never had too much respect for him anyway.

i think the thing that really makes it a case is the fact that i think he payed for some of it, which kinda goes beyond reseach, but it was never proven , which is kinda sad cus if its not true his name will be tinted for ever
