Being the spice of life, I was just thinking how different all the songs are that we've heard so far: from folky banjo ditties, to Floydian chilled tunes, through anthemic rock, to disco influences...
It's odd that one of the criticisms of the album we've seen in a few reviews is that it's samey... lazy journalism? Or do you think Noel's put similar sounding songs on the album for the sake of keeping to his theme?
I'm guessing the former from what we've heard from the demos / soundchecks. And regardless, Im amazed at the quality of the body of songs we've got so far. Even if the last 4-5 songs we hear are a bit samey the album + b-sides is gonna make a great playlist :-)

I don't read reviews because I'm pretty sure that a lot are faked. You can tell that there's a lot of pressure from labels and bosses for the writers to write something that makes them look good. Because if you don't, the fangirl and fanboys go after you calling you stupid, trolls, etc.
They probably aren't Oasis fans, and they probably don't listen to half of what most of us listen to. I actually feel sorry for them because it's like being the DJ on the radio who has to play shit track after shit track everyday.

Music critics are f**king idiots.
Not that I wouldn't mind being one, mind.
"Get stoned and write about music all day? Hurrah!"
