I doubt he gives a flying fuck over one song being sold for a weekend lol I'm sure he does if it was meant to be used for another purpose and no longer can be used for that purpose due to this. I think this was a song from the AA album.

I doubt it was for the AA album, why would they have it all ready over 10 months before its release?

it may be a mistake but sour mash should not have given it to amazon in the first place if it wasn't meant to be used yet

it was probably a forced mistake. i doubt that amazon is so stupid to put a song on the website that isn't on the album or a b-side

I think it is very likely that it is from the AA album. Noel's said it sounds like Dark Side of The Moon, and AOTR totally has that vibe. Also, according to Noel, the AA album is done and ready to go.

Also, according to Noel, the AA album is done and ready to go. If that's the kind of psychedelia that's on the AA album, I'll be sorely disappointed. The AA stuff from A Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble Exploding In Your Mind is way farther out there than AOTR. Doubt this is from the AA album, most likely just the track Noel was planning to play live that we hadn't heard about yet.

if is from the AA album then i will be very dissapointed. NG described it as out there, and the song doesn't sound anything like what AA are famous for. It IS a great song but on its own.

I can't imagine it being on AA. If so, I'll be happy because it's still standard Noel. But that's why I doubt it's on the second album - it's too normal and not nearly "out there" enough.

I don't think it was a mistake. If it was a mistake, there was plenty of time all day Saturday to stop the release from going ahead.
I don't know why it was uploaded and then removed, but a mistake doesn't seem likely to me.

Well, I think Noel has tried to reign in the "out there" comment a bit in some of his interviews, by saying it sounds like DSOTM and not just a bunch of random electronic sounds.
I bet there's far more adventurous stuff on that album, but I could see AOTR fitting in there somehow.

I could be wrong but didn't Noel say that the High Flying Birds thing was just this album and the AA album was something different, well categorised different anyway. The Amazon page advertised AOTR as NGHFB so I'm guessing it can't be off the AA album.

I guess he's just building up hype and taking attention away from the possible leak. The amount of songs and other new stuff we're getting is huge right now, a good thing for Noel a week before album release. AA? From the IIHAG snippet and Noels comments, not a chance. Maybe it was supposed to be a single between the two albums, like Whatever, but I really doubt it was a mistake. They had two days to fix it - if they really fucked this up, some people just lost their jobs.

Its not from the AA record. That hasnt even been properly intro'd by the record company yet. There is nothing official on that yet. There is no way a song from that would be even in Amazon's hands yet.
The fact that the HFB albums artwork is embedded into the bought mp3 leads me to believe its some sort of bonus track for Amazon customers thats not been announced yet.
Enough of some of the crazy predictions. The chance of this being part of the AA album is literally slim and none.

NME's take, sounds like they dont know either. They obviously had to get permission to put it on their site like it is. www.nme.com/news/noel-gallagher/59563ou can hear a brand new track from Noel Gallagher 'Alone On The Rope' in full on NME.COM, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click to listen to it. The track, which is available to download now, is not scheduled to appear as part of the tracklisting for the former Oasis man's debut solo album 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds', which will be released on October 17. The LP was recorded over the past year in London and Los Angeles with producer Dave Sardy and will be released on Gallagher's own Sour Mash Records. A second album, recorded with psychedelic collective Amorphous Androgynous, is due to come out sometime in 2012. Gallagher plays his first solo tour dates at the end of this month. You can watch a new interview with Gallagher, in which he discusses his ongoing legal dispute with brother Liam, by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking.

I can see the Pink Floyd connection but that's it really. No way it is an AA production. I'd go with AOTR a bonus track or hidden track from the HFBs album.

I doubt everything on the AA album will be epicly long tracks. There will be stuff that is single length. This track, however, is clearly a NGHFB bit. IMO its easily his best solo track to date.

I agree that they wouldn't even have given Amazon access to AA tracks this far out.
It was probably the track he was going to play live and maybe it was supposed to be released closer to the live dates. I'll bet it'll be back up to buy next week.
