i've took the liberty of creating an extended mix of the song. i thought when i listened to the song the first time there was too much woman and not enough noel.
i've shortened the female vocals and doubled up the 2nd verse. at the end of the song i've dont kind of a 'reprise' and the song kicks back in with the rest of the womans vocals, double 2nd verse and a couple of extra 'ltlsalom' at the end. it now clocks in at just over 6 minutes.
i think i've kind of overkilled it, but its decent enough. the edits aren't too obvious.
thought you may like to listen to it.

Thanks man, this is a really good edit. The female vocals are my favourite part but you have created a nice balance throughout the whole track.
The first thing I thought when I heard the original version was "I wish this went on longer, so epic".

I think its great-I like how the female vox come in abit easier then joining in with Noel and then bursting out rather than her bursting in out of no where like the original version.

I find listening to fan mixes like this ruins it a bit for me, so I tend to ignore them - unless it's supposedly really good and at least more than 24 hours after we got the original song! This is too soon for me. I like the original version more than enough so I'm not inclined to seek out 'better' renditions.

I would help ya further, but i wont hear any soundcheck songs untill the album is released. |
