It's a playlist on my ipod that's shaping up nicely I stand up as really liking 'The Good Rebel', I don't think the people who slag it understand it for what it is - a good mid-sixties style Beatles 'b' side.

People who slag ['The Good Rebel' don't] understand it for what it is - a good mid-sixties style Beatles b-side. That is a presumptive and aggressive thing to post. 1) People either like a song or they don't, it is a matter of personal taste - a song does not always have to be "understood" 2) A lot of critics of the song do "understand" it and find it to be overly derivative of a good mid-sixties Beatles b-side. I.e. 'Rain' Personally, I like Noel best when he doesn't self-conciously hearken back to the past. That said, I think Beady Eye/Noel b-sides playlist is good idea. A lot of the songs sound free of pressure and make for a good Sunday morning listen.
