These things always make the speaker look jealous, petty, and/or out of touch. Here it's a combination of the three. But mostly it accounts to a shrug for anyone reading it. Who cares what he thinks, really?

Who cares what he thinks, really? Thing is though, in a world where basically no-one says anything, isn't quite refreshing to still have someone who isn't afraid to speak his mind, even if it's likely to be a decisive comment, and even if you don't necessarily agree with his opinion?

Nicky you have to care about the manics' not having a hit with that the the cover... and not about a bunch of 20 some year old guys edit... see the video for that song... its boring and has been done even by the manics themselves once again(judge yrself).

I love the Manics, but their last album was a steaming pile of shit. If there was one band that had "degenerated into boredom" it would them. Even as a fan, there is an obvious drop in quality from The Holy Bible and Everything Must Go to all of their albums up to Send Away The Tigers. I'm starting to think they were just lucky with Send Away The Tigers and Journal For Plague Lovers.

I tthink they need to have a break with solo albums of both Nicky and James(just to work out some stuff they wouldnt do in the manics) like in '06 and have a full comeback with their 70 songs project or whatever they want to do.

Their last album was rubbish, I don't have much faith for the next one. To be fair though, while Suck It and See is a fantastic album, they've given up their crown to The Horrors nearly three years ago.

Manics should put strings down its not like they havent done music without them, but then i realize in their carrer atleast one song from one album has atleast one song with strings or a keyboard in it.
It was good in A design for life... in just the end of love it was a overblown(and overused) trick.

Totally agree, no artist dare say anything these days for fear of being blacklisted by Radio 1 or NME, or the blogosphere. But in truth i too like to hear other peoples opinions too. The interviews in the NME are becoming so bland, I perked up other day though when hey interviewed Noel Gallagher, good read, he too doesnt care what people think about his opinions and it stands out a mile, in a good way.

Suck it and see fucking rocks. By far there best work IMO. There not 19 year olds anymore. Alex turner always gets compared to Ray Davies as a songwriter.. and to me that sums it up pretty accurately. He'll do it his way and fuck popularity. Its not cool anymore

Favourite Worst Nightmare is my least favorite Arctic Monkeys album.
The other three however make me excited for their next release (in ages) because it will be different, sound good, and I'll love it. Gives me some variety.
And while Suck it and See isn't as good as Whatever People Say I Am to me, I much prefer it to a 2.0 version.
So go fuckyourself person from band I haven't heard of! (Unless your music is the kind that backs up this statement, in which case, I apoligise, and will in the future illegally download your music for my own personal pleasure, and most likely forget about this comment)
