it's been out for several days now and it's only gotten a little over 7 thousand views, what gives? This is a much more catchier/commercial song and though i am happy to have learned the song is doing good in the alternative/AAA charts, i still don't understand why the video is underperforming this way. Sure, Noel didn't get featured on the homepage of Youtube this time, and yes, people aren't as eager to hear it because it's not the "lead/debut single" but give me a break. 7 thousand views! Beady Eye has several videos with over 1.5 million hits, not to mention the many other ones that have been watched hundreds of thousands of times. Why is Noel's new video not getting the attention and reception from the fans they way TDOYAM did ?

probably due to the selective countries that can see it

The official video is rather boring and there are quite a few inofficial ones on youtube as well.

Some of the promotion from Noels camp is quite appalling...

probably due to the selective countries that can see it This is why. And it has to do with the licensing agreements that the labels dealing with Vevo have. I have calculated the unofficial videos with the Vevo one and it's currently at 12,519 altogether. Not great, yeah, but oh well.

The video itself is...bad. It's just ordinary, cliched, and uncreative. Noel probably had very little say in its direction. Song is brilliant though, but the video makes the whole thing tedious.
That, and as someone else said, TDOYAM video was released right away, so the song was still new.
