Have to say, I'm VERY dissapointed by Kasabian's latest effort. As much as I've tried, I'm just not havin it. The Artics on the other hand have made a cracking album. Thoughts everyone?

Velociraptor by miles and miles.
While Suck It and See is a solid album, I haven't had the urge to play it since. Velociraptor has been pretty much on repeat on my ipod for the past 2 weeks. I absolutely love that album.
Days Are Forgotten alone is better than anything on Suck It, and how about Goodbye Kiss and Man of Simple Pleasure? And Re-Wired?
Kasabian's effort takes the cake.

I'm with paranoid. Suck It and See blows Velociraptor out of the water. I've only heard three songs from Kasabian's new album so I can't judge it in it's entirety but judging by the dull 'Switchblade Smiles' and the other single, it's duller than their last album.
But the final blow was when I heard a supposedly 'heartfelt and beautiful new Kasabian song' on the radio the other day. It was called 'Goodbye, Goodbye' or something rather, and it was the most chalkboard grating dirge I'd ever heard. If anyone in their right mind considers a song like this to be 'beautiful' then they need to have their head checked.
EDIT: Upon reading the rest of this thread I found that the song I as referring to was 'Goodbye Kiss'.

It's incredibly wet. Suck It And See for me. Personally, it's their best album yet - if that was their first album people would rave over it much more than the debut. Also, Alex Turner is a great lyricist. For me, it's more affecting and melodic than they have ever been - and I'm a sucker for that. Library Pictures and She's Thunderstorms are fantastic.

Suck It and See easily. I've grown to enjoy that album a bit more with each listen. Kasbian's effort like I've said is average to me

Velociraptor! by far, I think the Joshua Homme more than rubbed off on the Arctic Monkeys that would be good but they are the Arctic Monkeys and I like the sounds of their first 2 albums much more. I've been a fan of both bands since their debut albums and both albums are good however I think Kasabian is the better getting better and better where as the Monkeys are losing it a tad,
West Ryder is still better than Velociraptor! though, but not by much.

West Ryder was a brilliant album, after the dissapointment of Empire, but Velociraptor is, for me, very much in the same vain as Empire. A HUGE dissapointment for me.
Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've moved Your Chair on the other-hand, is my favourite track of 2011 so far. WHAT A TUNE THAT IS!!!!!

Suck It And See for me, although Velociraptor! impressed me. I was expecting it to be their weakest yet when I heard Switchblade Smiles, but they really pulled a good one out this time. Still, Arctics take it.

Velociraptor has personality, style, and attitude. Also has a loose theme about it, too - all about drugs, innit. I don't get that from Suck It. Suck It doesn't excite me, even though I like it.
Velociraptor has been on repeat for the past 3 weeks now for me. I'm still not bored with it, while Suck It I have hardly played. Maybe I need to give it more of a chance, I don't know.
Velociraptor is the first Kasabian album I've been fully pleased about. All the others had potential (their debut), were disappointing (Empire), or had too many fillers (West Ryder).
Even the weakest song on their 4th album (Switchblade) has its moments. Again, I don't see any underlying goodness about the likes of Moved My Chair or Brick by Brick.
Love the new Kasabian album. Utter class.
