I went out and bought this today actually, poor review - didn't learn anything I didn't know already about the album and absoloutely no information on the tracks, terrible!
Still, Good George Harrison articles and a decent CD of Harrison covers.

A review that bad makes me kind of angry. I mean, is the guy aware that people are desparate for some good info/opinion on Noel's music, and not some generic article?
The one thing we can cull from that useless piece of crap is that everyone thinks "Dream On" is incredibly catchy.

I always laugh at those who laugh at a modern music "review" that doesn't critique an LP track by track or delve into "deeper meanings and influence".
it's a record, get a fucking grip already.
Especially with an artist that's been around for 20 yrs...you know the formula by now. They took the time to post notice that there's some new nuances involved and gave an overall impression...that's quite fine.
Further, they know full well that you're going to buy the album or not right from the get with a case like Noel Gallagher, so they're not really going to sell you on its greatness (or ineptness) one bit.
They gave you the feel, now buy the record or not and make up your own mind.
