Apologies (or 'scuse me) if i have spoken too soon...couldn't find/couldn't be bothered to see if someone else had picked up on this.
Anyone else disappointed that this isn't how the studio version sounded? Obviously not directly like this, with a bit of percussion and some strings of course, but this is how the song was meant to be. 10 X Better in my opinion. And I do really like the album version!

Sorry, just seen the other thread, but at least mine has visual another song that we can chalk up as "Better when Noel sings it acoustic" with Talk Tonight, Sad Song, Where Did It All Go Wrong?, Sunday Morning Call and arguably Slide Away and Listen Up?

Does anyone else think it's odd to see him playing a Martin now? At least that's what I think it is...

Maybe he's just moving away from the heavy sounding Gibson, it's a brilliant guitar but it tends to dominate.

Yeah maybe. I never said it was a bad thing. I'm just used to seeing his other acoustic!

I agree with the theory of him using a less dominating guitar now. When he's playing guitar now it'll probably be strictly rhythm so he won't want to take over the sound on stage. Can't wait for Dublin

Yeah, hearing the iTunes file has made me a bigger fan of the studio version. Noel sounds f**king great.

yeah he is playing a martin because he doesn't need the attack that the Gibson SJ brings but i prefer the studio version to this acoustic performance but I think that could change if we get some good bootlegs from some of his gigs.

The acoustic version is where the soul of the song is evident. Recorded version is good, but its rather blandly arranged.

Do we know for sure that he's dumped the Gibson in favor of the Martin?
Noel doesn't usually travel with a guitar to his interviews. This may have been an impromptu thing and the Martin was what was laying around at the radio station.

Studio version is WAY better.
And what kind of fool thinks Slide Away is better accoustic? Must be a girl.
