Title of the new album according to Noel, on Krock. 12 songs. 6 by noel, 3 liam, I forget the other 3. I only caught a latter half of the interview... 2 songs contending for the single, no name. "rearranging" a couple stuff for the new tour, maybe a few surprises. V cool, but Booker was kind of lame. Not a very revealing interview is it

What he said was that they "tentatively" titled the album as "the ear has no memory", so I think that's not going to be the final title. Which means there's still hope for a decent one...

what was wrong with booker? During the Oasis segment on VH1's "I Love the 90's," Booker condescendingly said that nobody cares about Oasis anymore. He's a dick, that's what's wrong with him, and the manner in which he, the fucking DJ, disrespected Noel by not doing any research on Oasis to figure out that they released HC a few years ago proves it.

Yea Don't believe the truth is better on the account that its political and bashes bush hehehe ;D I don't think Don't Believe the Truth was meant to have any direct anti- bush connotation, as they are BRITISH and haven't said much about bush really...

Thats the great thing about that title tho...i mean u can make it what u want. Americans who hate bush would relate to the title that way...

I agree, Oasis aren't a political band. They write songs from themselves. I agree but, noel seems to be political i mean he talks politics OCCASIONLY......so i thought he might be trying to say something with the title...Don't believe the truth

that would be a pretty lame political message...
why shouldn't people believe the truth?

I'm kind of confused about the Bush thing. If it's anti Bush, and the title is telling you not to believe the truth, then wouldn't that sort of mean that it says Bush is the one telling the truth?

if it is political it probably means that the 'truth' is the information we are told to believe as the truth, and is presented to us as the truth...but actually is propaganda....for example, tony blairs' dodgy dossier.

Who cares if they're British? Hail to the Theif by Radiohead is about Bush.
And Don't Believe the Truth could be a very clever political message. It's not that hard to understand. Bush wants you to believe what he says is truth.
Well don't believe what he says-- don't believe the truth.

I doubt that most people would even get that. And I think Noel just has too many brain cells to start getting political with the music or anything that's related to it.

Bush wants you to believe what he says is truth. Well don't believe what he says-- don't believe the truth. But what Bush is saying isn't the truth. Therefore, if you don't believe what he says, the album should be called Don't Believe the Lies. Which just goes to show any poltical angle on this title is bullshit
