Am I reading this right? The a-side is available on 11th September and five weeks later the b-side is available?

Somebody had theorized that the singles digital release may have been brought forward to take advantage of it being in an advert.
I think that they might be right. Particularly because of how close TDOYAM and WAL are to each other.
I'll bet the physical release date were the original planned dates and they aren't able go be moved as easy as a digital release.

Yeah I agree with this. Although I suspect the original release date that was planned would have been the 10th not the 17th...releasing singles and albums simultaneously might have worked for The Beatles but...
