Hi all. My first post, cracking forum!
Do we know if there will be strings and choir on the tour? I have tickets for Hammersmith Apollo and realised its all seated when most seem to have standing.
I'm hoping this will mean we get the full shebang.

Don't know, if he does I feel like he'd only have strings.
But he may not even have that, since I don't think I've heard any strings on the new songs so far, and it seems silly to have an ensemble tour with you only for the Oasis songs.

I'm hoping we get strings at the very least

you can easily use a keyboard for strings while touring, so I'd bet on there being some live.

Wouldn't it be difficult from a logistical perspective? Would he rent out locals in each gig or have a huge choir and strings network touring with him?

Wouldn't it be difficult from a logistical perspective? Would he rent out locals in each gig or have a huge choir and strings network touring with him? It'd be more efficient to have a touring band but also expensive. Plus the question of whether it's needed for a small North American jaunt... I could totally see this happening in the UK though, probably bring the Crouch End Choir and Wired Strings?

The tickets cost a fair bit more than the Beady Eye ones. They could have incorporated a small strings section and a small choir into that price to do a few gigs with him. Certainly not a whole tour though.

I think that we could get the whole treatment for a few special gigs. Maybe if he does the iTune Festival or TCT. But I doubt routinely.
I think he'll be using the keyboard for the strings most of the time though.
The tickets aren't cheap...but I don't think they are expensive enough to account for travel expenses and wages for half a dozen musicians. Plus he hasn't mentioned anything in interviews about having been practicing with a quartet, etc. If he's trying to sell the concept of his show the fact that he'll have a string section with him should be mentioned.

When Eels did their tour with a quartet, I paid 45 euros.

Aren't there also standing areas in most of these theatres? I can't imagine sitting while singing along to DLBIA for example...Noel surely won't sit on a chair, right?

I don't imagine all seated means that the artist has a seat too. lol.
I doubt that he'll be sitting the whole show and getting his bassist and guitarist to sit as well. I think it'd look weird him sitting with his band standing on either side of him. That would be basically ensuring the whole show looks stagnant.
He could sit for a few of the slower numbers maybe.
As for the audience, I doubt people are going to be remaining seated even if they have assigned seating. Too excited. It'll be the first NG solo gigs ever! Who wants to sit through that!

Yeah I was thinking about this the other day too. I'm very curious about how he will fill in the live shows. One one hand he's saying he doesn't like to be a frontman, because the band is standing behind him and all that, so that would indicate that they are all standing. But on the other hand you have the seated venues, which would indicate a more intimite, acoustic kind of performance, with Noel sitting down. It's strange to have a seated venue for a band, no?

I seriously think he'll do TCT 12, and that should have a the full on whole package like the others he has done. Also what was the previous TCT's all seated??

Also what was the previous TCT's all seated?? In theory but like GD mentioned everyone was on their feet by the middle of the gig I was at (25th last year).

I don't imagine all seated means that the artist has a seat too. lol. That's not what I was suggesting I actually meant something like at the TCT gigs. I hope people won't sit down and neither should Noel I'd also like to see Noel with an electric guitar for some of the tunes.

I'm kind of excited to see Noel play What A Life live. Imagine him dancing around to it like Robbie Williams ;D

Like gdforever said, i think there might be choir and strings for a few special gigs.
Im not familiar with the venues, but couldnt the seated thing be because of the venue sizes and thats how it normally is?

Maybe he will use choir and strings in his first UK and USA gigs, but i don´t see him using it for a full tour. In Spain he doesn´t play in a theater, but in a rock concert hall (Riviera) without seated
