At the 3:43 mark Noel strips down and sings the verse "if i had a gun.." one last time. Im not trying to nitpick here, i love the song but is anyone else irked that following that last verse he doesnt go into 1 more slow acapella "excuse me.." chorus. That is whats keeping me at 9.5 and not 10.

If the song went on forever I wouldn't complain

I'm really hoping for a 5-7 minute epic song on the album... With a guitar solo and an extra verse and chorus IIHAG could've been that... But it's all good. Hoping for Record Machine or some other song to have something that kinda makes it more epic.

I could find ten things I would change about IIHAG if you pinned me down and forced me to. But at some point, you've got to accept the song is not exactly as it was mapped out in your head, tip your hat and say "fucking tune". And enjoy a great song from a great songwriter.

With the particular part you mention im happy with it as its brilliant and it crops up 3 times in the song which is enough IMO, if i had to pick an example of when a brilliant part should have been used again it would be the bit on "falling down" where he sings "we live a dying dream, if you know what i mean" I would certainly welcome your suggestion but he knows its the best part of the song and has used it to full effect

he certainly leaves the listener wanting more. i guess im so used to the traditional gratification the pop/rock song usually takes

2011 Liam's voice on this...meh....
On the other hand, imagining Morning Glory Liam singing this gave me the biggest boner I've had in years.

I love this song and didn't want it to end --- one more explosion of ahhhssss at the end would have been brilliant!!!
The more I listen to it the more I keep waiting for the start of the last verse burst into the line "your wasting your time and my time aswell...." from blinded by the sun/seahorses
can anyone else hear this???

"If I had a gun, I'd shoot a hole into the sun and love will burn this city down for you. Forgive me if I spoke too soon, my eyes will always follow you around the room."
That's how I would have ended it. The length of the song is fine though.

It needs a huge gospel choir and a boatload of swirling strings and about half an hour of those ahhhhhhs
