Hello
Now that we all seem to have the bug for expecting more news etc weekly from the Noel camp i was wondering what you all thought could come next?
30 sec previews type thing?
Announcement of another possible pre album UK single?
B side to IIHAG? or video for the latter?
Full album listening party?
Also when should the music mag reviews start coming through Q, MOJO etc?
Also i cant stop listening to IIHAG its the best release i have ever heard since joining the forum or since SCYHO even.

I'm guessing IIHAG Video in about 2½ weeks, and (hopefully) a possible CD/7" pre-order for both US and UK in about 2 weeks. Don't think they'll release the second UK-single before October 10-ish, about a week or two before the album.
But I'm stupid...

Yeah i think its still a bit early for a leak
What im looking forward to the most is "if" there is a second UK single and whatever it might be (AKA What a life is a good shout), and also the listening party and magazine reviews, i was truly buzzing reading the music radar and Jeff Slate's reviews.

BTW, anyone else find 30 second preview clips a bit like torture? I remember the DOYS ones. Bit like dangling a carrot.

Speaking of 30-second previews, the best thing to do with them, in my opinion, would be to mix up the track titles. The DGSS previews kind of ruined the album for me as I already knew what to expect with each song. This way you still have the "ooh new stuff" feeling while listening to the album for the first time without losing any hype prior to the leak/release.
Or just do nameless previews.

To be honest, if we got some clips of the album i genuinely do not think i would listen to them as i believed they ruined DOYS and DGSS for me, but that could of been the lack of great tracks (DGSS), its for me the most anticipated album since SOTSOG, im just loving the build up so i think im gonna resist clips and maybe even the leak
Will see about the leak though

the best with 30 sec clips is to listen to them 3 or 4 times max. You dont have time to get used to them

I didn't have any problems at all listening to those clips. What's more annoying is if the real versions have changed from the demos and soundchecks as with IIHAG. But that's too late now, i've listened to all those soundchecks a million times  |

The problem with the clips for me is that even at 30 seconds long you get the idea of the tempo, melody and general feel of the song in that short space of time and then there is no element of surprise, TDOYAM was a huge element of surprise, we kinda knew what we were getting with IIHAG although it is actually a better song.
Maybe its wanting that "old days" anticipation of putting the full record on from scratch for the very first time, but i guess thats out of question in the digital age

That was AKA...What a Life, wasn't it? Huh? The next music video to come out is definitely IIHAG. Unless you mean that it'll come out as a third video, which is entirely plausible. Maybe we'll see a second snippet of Noel writing the other half(third?) WAL during IIHAG which will ultimately culminate into a video for WAL. |
